Kalia followed Tia down the glamorous hall, turning a corner into a private corridoor before coming face to face with a set of two doors on either side of the wall.

"This is your room, princess," she says, motioning the one on the right. "If you need anything, press this button," she motions to the white presser beside the light switch, "and someone will tend to you."

A button... wow. Looking in from the outside she had thought that it was definitely older than her palace and many others still in use, but the inside proved her wrong. It seems they kept everything ancient and beautiful about the palace with few modifications, and it worked in their favour. Her eyes travelled up the elegant wallpaper, catching sight of the gold and crystal chandelier. It illuminated the whole room, an amber-like tint shading over the large king-sized bed, giving the wooden dressers a warm hue. Flowers decorated the room, sparkly gold blankets neatly draped over the edge of the bed with wall openings to the bathroom and the closet. Her eyes dilated as she caught a glimpse of the dimming sky, through the open balcony doors.

"If there's nothing else..."

"Actually," Kalia stopped her. "I would like to ask you something, if you wouldn't mind."

"Anything," she nodded.

"That door," she said, pointing toward the closed door in the middle of the wall connecting to another room. "What lies behind it?"

"Oh," she giggled. "That's the Prince's room."

"The Prince's... room?" she breathed.

"Yes."

"Thank you, Tia."

When the door shut, Kalia put it in her mind to ignore the door, and skipped over to the balcony and squeezed through the semi open doors. The cool breeze embraced her, light goosebumps gracing her milky skin as she took in the magnificent view of the sky. The wide canvas was painted with many colours, some of which she didn't even know the names of. Pinks, purples, dark blues and soft yellows blended together as the sun disappeared below the swaying trees. Her room back home had a balcony, too, but it didn't face the direction of the setting sun - something she didn't realise was such a loss until now. She didn't think she would ever get sick of observing the sunset from the comfort of her new room, provided that she grew comfortable in it, with time.

Her eyes never left the sun as it became less and more hidden, welcoming dusk. This time tomorrow she would be a married woman. No longer just a princess, but an heir to the royal throne, should the time come. And unless an angel would be sent down to heal the King and send him into a miraculous recovery, that time would unfortunately come soon.

Her stomach churned at the thought, and was thankful for the easy-access bathroom a few feet away.

A knock sounded at the door, distracting Kalia from her thoughts. When she re-entered her new room, Celeste was standing close to the door.

"Sorry about that, dear. How do you like it?" She said motioning to the room.

"It's lovely, Queen Celeste. Thank you very much."

Celeste moved closer to the girl and laid a gentle hand to her arm. "Call me Celeste. There's no need for formalities. Like Eltis said earlier, we are family now." Kalia nodded.

"So... is this..." she started, looking around the room.

"Your room? Yes. Should you wish to move onto the master floor with Elec, then yes, this is will be your room, and you can change it to your liking."

Not a master bedroom, oh no. That wouldn't be enough for two people. A master floor would, apparently. Kalia was stunned, remembering the size of the castle.

"That wont be necessary, Queen-" she caught herself. "Celeste. Thank you, this room is more than I would ask for." Anything is better than being on the same floor, let alone the same room as the Prince after all the embarrassment she caused for herself, but this room was every girl's dream come true.

Celeste noticed Kalia's eyes dart to the door connecting to her son's room.

"So, Tia told you," she laughs, sounding like a wonderful melody. "Don't worry. He is staying on another floor tonight, with his brothers."

Kalia almost allowed herself a sigh of relief, until she registered the last three words of Celeste's sentence.

Brothers?!?

"I'll leave you to settle in. Dinner is in an hour, I'll have someone collect you when it is time." Celeste pulled Kalia into a comforting embrace before closing the door behind her on her way out.
