Kalia made her way down the steps alone, hearing the sound of soft music playing from downstairs. She wished that at least one of her sisters were there with her to walk her in, so that she didn't feel so alone. They would laugh together, her mind focused in a better place so that she wouldn't feel the intense stares from the hundreds of guests in the hall upon her entry.

She reached the ground floor, her heels clacking at the glossy marble tiles as she came face to door with the grand ball entrance inside of the palace. Kalia often wondered how she didn't get lost in the enormous palace that she called home. She took in a deep breath, banishing her anxious thoughts, and opened the doors slowly, hoping to make a quiet ingress. A swarm of people turn to the entrance from where they stood before the miniature staircase, their faces painted with elegant shades reflected from the lights above. Kalia wasn't used to being the center of attention. Though she was a princess, she and her sisters had been kept mostly in the shadows after a certain young age, for protective purposes, especially since they were allowed to attend schools if they wanted.

The lights were dimmed, giving an after-light feel to the space. Having a look around to avoid eye contact with anyone, relieved that Prince Elec hadn't been anywhere in sight, Kalia took a moment to admire the hall. It was packed with women in glittery gowns and men in expensive dress shirts, with suits to match. The designer had done a wonderful job to enhance the already magical features of the ballroom, she admired, and everyone had seemed to be enjoying themselves.

As her eyes scanned the room, she spotted a dark blonde, a brunette and a red head at a corner close to the door. Lisa, Mia and Ana. She ran to them as though they were her only life source, hoping to escape the lime light before her mother spotted her.

Kalia startled her friends with her abrupt confrontation, and they greet her with tight hugs, kisses and excited enthusiasm. She caught them up, and by them, meant Mia and Ana. They had just come back from a road trip from Wales for one of their classes, so Kalia could fill only Lisa in via Skype since she was still on kingdom lockdown. By the end of her explanation, Lisa was buzzing, Mia and Ana were left with wide eyes. The last two had no idea what was going on, they just thought it was one of the regular balls they were invited to that were thrown every so often in the year, but now learning the nature, they were left astonished, but knew that they needed to be their dear friend's rock and source of calmness in a time like this, and they knew just how to do it.

Kalia sucks in a much needed breath. "So, now you know that I need help."

"Is that him over there?" Mia nods and points over by the large buffet. Kalia followed the direction of her finger to see him standing by the large buffet... talking to Ophelia. And they were not just talking, to her observation, but they were laughing, and he was giving her what Kalia had familiarized herself with as his charming smirk, before planting a short kiss to her hand and leading Kalia's sister to the dance floor.
