“And action!” screamed out Ashley as she stood behind the many cameras, which were watching our every move.

“Taylor,” shrieked Caitlin as she glanced at herself through the mirror of our staged bathroom. “Look at my face!”

I walked on the set, walking exactly to the left of the camera, which was recording us. I glanced at Caitlin’s face, which had marker scribbling all over it.

“I don’t see what the problem is,” I stated as I leaned against the counter of the medicine cabinet.

“The problem?” shrieked Caitlin as she looked at me through the mirror. “The problem is that I have a date with Tom in two hours and you scribbled all over my face with markers!”

I shrugged. “Jenna, I am doing you a favor—I’m enhancing your natural beauty.”

Caitlin glared at me. “If this marker doesn’t come off, I’m telling mom!”

I rolled my eyes and continued watching her try to wash off the marker. “Doesn’t matter if you tell your mom, because she isn’t my mom and she never will be.”

She glared at me and screamed at the top of her lungs, “Mom! Come here! Mom!”

Julie sprinted on screen with a terrified look on her face. “What’s wrong, Jenna?” she asked as she placed a hand on her forehead.

Caitlin pushed her hand off and motioned towards me. “That brat is the problem!” she yelled before motioning towards her face. “Look what she did to my face—I look like the Teletubbies!”

Julie rolled her eyes and glanced towards me. “Taylor,” she said in a serious tone. “Why would you draw on your sister’s face right before her date with her boyfriend?”

I scoffed and glared at her. “Number one, she isn’t and will never be my sister! Number two, that isn’t her boyfriend—he is a dork on the chess team who has never been within two feet of a girl in his life. And number three, you have no right to be lecturing me because you aren’t my mom!” I yelled at her as I turned to exit the stage.

“Taylor--”

I turned around and faced her, cutting her off immediately. “And I wasn’t the one who drew on your face, Jenna. That is all thanks to your younger brother, Will.”

As I exited the stage, Ty walked on with markers in his long curly hair and scribbles all over his own body. He turned towards Julie and said, “Hey mom, I think I need a hair cut… And I bath—I think these markers are permanent.”

Caitlin stopped scrubbing her face with the washcloth and threw it down in the sink. She exhaled loudly before running off the stage.

“And that’s a wrap!” screamed out the co-director. “Very nice job everyone! Now everyone memorize their lines for tomorrows recording of episode six!”

I smiled and started talking with Julie until my mom came up to me. I said goodbye to Julie and hugged her before turning towards my mom.

“Congratulations! You did amazing!” said my real mom, as she hugged me.
