Calling on the Force, Kanan leaped. Sailing over the Sith General's head, he turned in midair and landed in front of her. Time seemed to slow down as the Sith reflected each. Moving at inhuman speed, though to his trance it seemed in slow motion, Kanan reflected each off the the side, and charged at the Sith.

Lightsabers clashing, the two moved almost too fast to see except a blurr. Gradually though, Kanan was retreating. There was no way he could beat a Sith, but at least he was fighting for what he stood for. He was fighting for all those Jedi, killed innocently in cold blood. He was fighting for his Master, parents, the Jedi code. He was fighting to protect Hera, and all those things were worth deleying death for a little longer.

Hera appeared on his left, eyes calculating, looking for an opening. Kanan pressed on, trying despertly to pursue the advantage they needed to give Hera time to take her shot. He noted her aiming carefully, ready to shoot, and pressed on with renewed energy. The Sith, already noticing thier tactic, drew another lightsaber and charged, pressing Kanan back and deflecting the bolts back at her. Hera gasped as one struck her shoulder, though she quickly shook off her pain, green eyes burning with fury. This couldn't go on much longer, Kanan knew. He took a deep breath, already formulating a plan. He had to time this perfectly, he'd only get one shot. And if he failed, he and Hera's life would be in jeopardy.
