When He Gets Mad

A/N This is gonna be what you've all been waiting for! A Dan special!

When Dan Gets Mad...

You stood at the stove, waiting for the water to boil for the ramen when you heard the front door slam, followed by stomping. You looked over to see Dan, looking pretty upset. He went over to the table and sat down like a four year old who was just denied a cookie. Just then, the water boiled.

"Hey Mr. Sweet Face, how was your day?" You said as if speaking to a child while dumping in the flavor packet.

"Shut up!" He yelled, causing you to jump. You backed off and tried to focus on the ramen. You'd never seen him like this. He sighed, putting his head in his hands.

"I'm sorry Hun, I'm just..ugh. Today."

"Well," you started, serving the ramen and setting the table, "tell me about it."

You sat down as he looked at you, his eyes looked infuriated. "Alright...well, me and Phil were doing a day in the life video today, right? You know, since we don't live together anymore we thought it be cool if we both recorded our daily lives apart then we'd take different parts to put in our videos so that it's not the same video for both channels." You nodded.

"Well, I thought it went with out saying that if we were going to show our girlfriends, then we'd show them rather than put them in the ENTIRE video. BUT! I GUESS NOT SINCE IN HIS CASE 'SHE IS A YOUTUBER TOO SO IT WOULD STILL BE A COLLAB VIDEO'!" He said this whilst slamming the table with his hand.

He looked down, resting his head in his hand again. "His whole entire video is him with his girlfriend. I didn't find this out until we met up at Starbucks and he brought her. She was so annoying the whole time, acting like she was meant to be in the video. I tried to deal with it, but as soon as she tried suggesting she get her camera to so she could put up a video on her channel too I lost it. I yelled at her saying this wasn't her video. That she wasn't supposed to be in it except to be mentioned. That this was supposed to be a special thing just for me and Phil."

You couldn't believe your ears. That didn't sound anything like the Dan you knew. I mean, yeah, he's been mad before, but this was a whole new level. He wasn't even swearing like usual.

"What did Phil do?" You asked, taking a spoonful of ramen.

"Well, P/G/N tried holding back tears as she apologized, and Phil came over to me and grabbed my collar saying that I had crossed the line. I felt like he might try to punch me but instead he let me go and tried to leave. I told him that he crossed the line by even putting her in the freakin video. Then I walked off and now I'm here." You shook your head.

"No Dan. You crossed the line."

He looked at you, his cheeks red and his eyebrows furrowed. "What?"

"You yelled at the poor girl, saying she wasn't wanted. That sounds awful. You dared insulted your best friend's girlfriend. That is just..an awful crime. What if he did that to me?"

"He wouldn't have. I wouldn't have been stupid enough to bring you in a video that you weren't supposed to be in."

"Shut up Dan."

"What?"

"You sound so god damn stupid. You should be lucky if Phil even talks to you as an enemy. You honestly sound like you need to be smacked upside the head princess."

You didn't usually call Dan princess. But when you did, he knew that meant you thought he was sounding snooty.

"...I don't want Phil to hate me." He said, looking down.

"I would if I were him. Eat your dinner then call him and you are going to apologize."

"Me?? Apologize?! He's the one who-"

"YOU ARE GOING TO APOLOGIZE BECAUSE YOU WERE TO SWEPT UP IN YOUR OWN LITTLE FANTASY TO REALIZE THE REASON THAT SHE WAS PROBABLY IN HIS 'DAY IN THE LIFE' VIDEO IS BECAUSE HE LOVES HER AND SPENDS EVERY SECOND WITH HER EVERYDAY ANYWAY!!!"

Dan was silent.

You sighed after a couple minutes of silence. "I feel like a house maid. You never take me anywhere anymore. That's why I really wasn't in the video. I'm not even part of your daily life. Just the end." You said, getting up to clean the kitchen up. You heard Dan get up and walk away. You looked at his bowl.

It was full.

Fifteen Minutes Later...

You got your pajamas on and went to go brush your teeth. As you put the toothpaste across your toothbrush, you heard him knock twice on the door before opening it up. Smush, you stuffed the toothbrush in your mouth.

"I apologized..." He said.

"And?" You tried saying through all the toothpaste.

"He accepted. He just told me I better know I crossed the line with what I did."

You nodded, spitting into the sink and rinsing your mouth and toothbrush.

"...I'm sorry.." He said.

You turned to him. "For?"

"Sounding stupid...I love you. I want you to know that. I just..."

You stopped him with a kiss. "I know,"

"I love you too."
