Hey, hey, hey! It's a Phil Lester special! I swear, I'll make a Dan special someday, be patient.

"There! Wait.." you contemplated if the scene looked right. Rosemary candles set perfectly parallel from each other. Golden edged plates with a fork on the right, knife and spoon on the right. Bowls set in the middle of each plate. Laced table clothe carefully placed evenly around the whole table. What was wrong? You slouched at your realization of the problem.

"The chairs..."

You loved Phil's colored chairs. They brought life to the rest of the house. But..they didn't quite fit in with the romantic setting you were aiming for. Before you could grab the nicer chairs from storage down stairs, Phil came in.

"Hello dear, I'm back." You heard him from the front hall. You ran out of the kitchen and hugged him nervously.

"SWEET PEA, YOU'RE HOME! WHAT A SURPRISE!" You yelled.

"How is it a- wow. You look snazzy. What for?" You stepped away. You were wearing an elegant blue lace dress with your moms diamond necklace. And your hair was also curled just right.

"Um...why don't you go to our room and put on something nice too? I swear there's a good reason."

He shrugged and went into your room, closing the door behind him.

You heard the oven ding, almost automatically causing you to run over to take out the chicken and dumplings. They looked perfect. You turned of the oven, keeping them warm until you too would come back home later.

You went over to Phil's room and peeked inside to see if he was almost done, but he was gone. Before you could walk away, you saw him out of the corner of your eye emerge from the bathroom, causing you to run to the living room. Phil came in short after, looking a bit confused.

"What is this all about? Some last minute visit to the queen?" He asked.

"No, she doesn't quite know us well enough, don't you think?"

"Your parents?"

"Honey, don't even kid me. We both know they are not last minute people. They have to know who'll they'll be seeing at least a month in advance."

"Then what is it?" He questioned, walking over to you.

You reached up to kiss him. "Philly, will you go out with me?"

Phil blushingly smiled, then pecked you cheek. "Of course darling."

A little bit later...

"Starbucks? I got in my very expensive suit for you to take me to a place I visit daily??" Phil exclaimed.

"Yes. Now come on, Janice is here! You love Janice!" You said, putting your arm around Phil and dragging him in.

Janice looked up from her magazine, stuffing it under the counter. She smiled once she realized it was you and Phil. "Oh boy, what a lovely surprise to see you two."

Phil sighed as he looked up then smiled. "As to you Janice. Long time no see huh?"

"Yeah, I know, haven't seen you since this morning, almost thought something happened to you," she teased, "What's with the fancy outfits?"

"I couldn't really tell you." Phil scoffed.

"Oh, shush. We're on a surprise date." You explained.

"Oh, well, let me get you the usual I presume?"

"Yes, that be lovely," you took Phil to go sit down, "I'll be right back." You went up to Janice, trying to signal her to you.

"What's up?" She said.

You looked back at Phil really quick to see if he was watching, but of course, he was already on his phone. You went to Janice and whispered something in her ear as she nodded.

Phil looked back up as you walked back to your seat. "So..what is this really all about?" He asked, putting down his phone.

"Nothing, I just wanted to-"

"Y/N, please. I know you too well. What is it." He interrupted.

You sighed. "I just...I feel like we've lost a spark. Think about it, when was the last time we've been on a date where our parents weren't involved?"

Phil sighed whilst nodding. "Yeah...I get that."

Janice came over with your two's drinks. Turning the name on Phil's away from him. Phil looked at her oddly, then took a sip of his drink. You knew he was going to examine the labels on his drink in three..two..one.

"What's this..." Phil looked at the name then smiled.

I love you it read.

"I really do." You told him, leaning in and grabbing his jaw, kissing him.

"I love you too..."
