She Lost Him...

Chapter 39

Vernon's POV

The next morning, I wake up on the couch by Promise licking my face. Was I really that drunk? I stood up and checked the time. 7:47am. URGH! I need some sleep... But then again... I wanna see Sunny. I just can't stop thinking about her being injured like this... Fucking Hyoyeon just had to make everything worse.

I felt sick... I head upstairs and walked to the bathroom. Something is missing... Wait Hyunsoo and Hyomin aren't home. They're with Dara so that explains why it's so quiet here. As I was in the bathroom, I washed my face and got a quick steamy shower before heading back down the steps.

Jeez!! How many messages did I need?!

Messages from: Chan...
7:52pm: Yo where's Sunny?! I need to talk to her.
7:52pm: Hello!?
7:53pm: please answer! It's urgent!
7:53pm: Vernon?! Why were you at the bar last night? Did something happen?
7:54pm: please explain to me what has happened and where Sunny is?!!

To: Chan
Sunny's in hospital and I went to the bar to get drunk because I felt miserable for myself. Sunny got hit by Hyoyeon and broke her ankle and hand. That's all that's happened. I don't know when you'll be able to speak to her...
From: Vern

I waited for a reply so I skipped making breakfast and just laid on the sofa. Urgh.. Life can be so miserable sometimes..

Ding~!

One message from: Chan

To: Vern
What!! She's in hospital, again!? When can you see her?
From: Chan

To: Chan
10am onwards.
From: Vern

To: Vern
Oh fuck! I can't see her... FML!!! I'll have to see her some other time, but anyway, hope she feels better and recovers.

I looked at the message before turning my phone off and turning the Tv on. I flicked through the channels and nothing good was on... Shitty old news...

9:57am

I took a look at the clock and I decided to visit her in another 4 hours.

2 hours later at the hospital...

Third person POV

In the hospital, Jungkook, Jihoon and Dara were in the hospital, visiting Sunny after her accident. She had woken up from her surgery. 45 minutes after waking up, she began having a panic attack and a small heart attack. She was so confused and terrified and had no idea what had happened to herself. Jungkook went to find a doctor as Dara and Jihoon were trying to calm her down. Dara grabbed her phone and messaged Vernon telling him to get to the hospital as quick as possible.

Vernon's POV

After receiving a message from Dara, I rushed to my car and drove to the hospital, not stopping at the red lights. Dara was calling me so I answered it whilst driving. 

"Vernon!! You need to get here fast!! Sunny is having a panic attack!" Dara yelled on the other line.

"I'm on my way to the hospital now!" I yelled back.

"Vernon are you speeding!? Jeez!! Slow down! You're gonna crash!!"

"No I'm not, I got this, I'm go-"

SHRIEKKKKK~~~~~!!

Third person POV

The line was cut off because Vernon didn't stop at the red light and crashed into another car and had flipped over.

"Vernon!! Vernon!! Answer me!! I told you not to speed! Vernon!" Dara yelled on the other line. No answer was coming from Vernon's side of the line, she knew he had crashed.

Vernon was then rushed to the hospital. He had a quick x-Ray and had a bunch of broken bones as the car landed on him.

2 hours later...

Sunny had stopped panicking and had calmed down. She heard the news about Vernon crashing and felt another panic attack coming back. She asked the doctor if she could see him. The doctor sat her into the wheelchair and took her to his room.

He had wires all over his body and a machine showing his heart speed. It was slow...

"Dara, is he going to be okay?" Sunny asked with her weak, dry voice.

"I don't know sis... He doesn't look good, he looks really pale," Dara replied and looked at Sunny with sadness in her eyes.

(A/N~ if y'all are wondering, WHERES HYUNSOO AND HYOMIN!? They are with Yoongi that is why he isn't in the hospital with Dara.)

Sunny stood up from her wheelchair on one foot and hopped over to Vernon to plant a kiss on his purple lips. She hopped back to her wheelchair.

"Okay, so are you guys part of Vernon's family?" The doctor asked as he walked into the room.

"Me and my sister are. These two men are just friends of his," Dara replied.

"Okay. Vernon will not be able to make it... Sorry. He crashed into a car which then made him flip causing glass to break and a few piece stab into him. The surgery didn't go well as we noticed his heart rate was slowing down. Sorry to bring this news to you, I really do apologise..."

Sunny began to cry. She felt a little dizzy an thought it would be better if she goes back to her room and lay down and rest. Jungkook and Jihoon stayed in Vernon's room.

Sunny was helped to lay in her bed.

"Dara, thanks for the help, I'm gonna have a nap now so you can go if you want," Sunny whispered.

"Okay, sis. Rest well..." Dara replied, before walking out of the room.

Sunny soon fell asleep.

1 hour later...

Jungkook and Jihoon were devastated.

Vernon's heart... Had stopped beating... Jungkook and Jihoon were told to leave the room by the doctors.

"What is Sunny going to do?" Jungkook asked, walking back to Sunny's room with Jihoon.

"I don't know... Feel heartbroken... The question should be, how are Hyunsoo and Hyomin gonna feel when they find out?" Jihoon asked back, sliding the door open. "Shh.. Sunny's asleep. I think we should go..."

"Let Sunny rest. Come on, let's come back later..."

Jihoon nodded and walked it of the room with Jungkook and headed back home.

Sunny was actually facing her back towards the door and looked out of the window. She had heard what Jungkook and Jihoon had said and began crying.

The door slid open again and a doctor came in.

"Oh! You're asleep! I'll come back later... I'll leave this little note here," she added and left the room.

Sunny's POV

I laid into my back and looked up at the plain, white ceiling and let the tears run down my cheek. I sat up slowly, wiping away the tears and looked at the note.

I reached for it and grabbed it.
