Chapter 24

                               Maya's POV

It had been a month since I had seen any sign of Cam, and it was driving me crazy. I hadn't came out of my room for weeks, and mom was getting fed up with me. She said the depression wasnt good for the baby, but I couldn't help it.. Tears streamed down my face as I thought about the last time I had seen Cam. How could he leave me like this? He promised me he wouldn't leave me again.. I heard a light knock on my door, and jumped at the sound. "Maya?" I heard Katie's voice through the door. I sighed softly, "it's opened." Katie walked inside with a trey of fruit. "I brought you some food. You must be hungry..." She sat down beside me. I stared at the fruit. "Maya, I know this might sound crazy... But when you said that you could see Cam." She paused, them looked at me, "I believed you. And I still do." I looked at her. "I saw him too. When he saved you.." she looked away. More tears escaped and I started sobbing. "Maya, he will come back." She hugged me gently. "He has to. For the baby..." I felt her smile in her voice. Katie was furious about the baby at first, but she had gotten over it. ".... I just.. want him to come back and stay.." I whispered through the sobs.
