Cam's POV
I wasn't going to lie, I was pretty nervous about taking Maya to see my parents, but at this point, what's the worst that could happen? I opened the passenger side door for Maya and helped her inside. I took one last look at her house before getting in the drivers side. I cranked up the car, and I felt Maya reach for my hand. I held hers tightly as I backed out of the drive way carefully. "everything is going to be fine." I smiled at her. she nodded, then tilted her head back, closing her eyes. Maya slept the whole way to Kapuskasing, and I was glad for that. She handy slept good in days with this trip on her mind. "Maya, baby." I nudged her lightly, whispering softly. "we are here, honey" she sat up slowly and rubbed her eyes sleepily. My mom had been waiting on the porch and she came running down the stair, eager to meet Maya. She opened Maya's door, smiling at first, but her smile quickly faded as she noticed Maya's stomach. "Cam.. Is it yours?" I looked at my mom and nodded firmly.
