Chapter 27

                              Cam's POV

I held Maya tightly, as she sobbed. "Maya, I'm so sorry.. I don't mean to keep leaving you, it's just that I always let my stupid feelings get in the way!" She looked up at me with sad eyes, "and that, Campbell Saunders is what makes you so selfish. You always put your feelings before mine. I'm having a baby, and you weren't even there to see the first ultra sound of her with me..." I froze as she said that. "It's.. it's a girl?" I managed to whisper. "Maya looked to the ground, nodding slowly as she rubbed her belly. "Yes, Cam. It is.. and she's going to be so beautiful." I felt Maya smile, and I couldn't help but smile with her, but the smile quickly faded when I realized that she would never be able to meet her dad... She would grow up without a father. "Cam.." Maya looked at me sadly. "I looked at her, trying to hold back the tears. "Yes, Maya?" Her voice cracked, "why can't you just.. be here..." Zig walked out of the dot and rushed over to Maya, holding her tightly. "Babe, why are you crying?" He asked worriedly. I clenched my teeth, wishing so badly that I could just knock his teeth in. Maya wiped away her tears quickly, "nothing, just hormones." She smile fairly and took the smoothie from his hands and they started to walk away. Maya looked back at me and mouthed, "I will meet you back in my room." I nodded hopefully.
