                              Maya's POV

I'd been sitting in my room for hours, waiting for Cam to get back from Kapuskasing. He had been there for the past week, trying to explain things to his family. They took it well, from what he told me, but it took a lot of convincing. I'm sure it was scary for his family, as it was for me... I was still so confused. What kind of game was life playing with us? I let out a long sigh, and turned over on my bed, facing the door. I missed Cam, and I really wanted to see him, and just as I said that, I heard my window open, turning towards it slowly. "Cam!" I sat up carefully, holding my belly. He smiled happily and walked over to me, pulling me into his warm embrace. "I have been missing you every second I was gone." He whispered, "I know exactly how you feel, Cam." I pulled away slightly, looking at his face. "How was your trip?" I asked. "Interesting to say the least." He chuckled. It was nice to hear him laughing for a change. "So... You talked to your family about getting counseling. Right?" I said, looking at the floor. I heard him sigh, "I did. Maya, my family wants me back home..." My head snapped up at him, "what? And you're considering just leaving me here to raise our daughter?" I said in defense. "Maya, let me finish.. They don't know about her yet." He looked at me. I cocked my head, "they don't?" He shook his head, "I wanted to take you up there with me this weekend. I'd rather show them, than tell them.. it's easier that way. And they would love to meet you." He smiled. "Meet me, like this? I'm 5 months pregnant, Cam. What would they even think?" I bit my lip nervously. "They won't judge you, Maya, they are just happy I'm back. Please go with me." I thought about it for the longest time. I really didn't want to lose Cam again, and if this is what it was going to take for his family to be understanding, then I guess I had no choice but to go. "What will I tell my mom? You know she still hates you.." I frowned. "So we will tell her you are going to a special appointment this weekend, and you'll be back Monday." he said. I nodded. I had been curious about Cam's family for a long time, but my nerves were taking over. "I hope your parents won't hate me for this..." I rubbed my belly.
