I anxiously sat behind the computer desk, tapping my pen against the desk, creating a catchy tune. The clock had 3:56pm, close to dinner time down in the cafeteria hall, I need to face Luke again.

"What's wrong, you seem so restless," James chuckled, he was sweeping the floors, I was still in the Psychotic ward. I had to stay here because of Luke - apparently I have to escort him and pratically look after him, even though it's not my job.

"I need to take Luke to the cafeteria, I'm nervous" I whispered, since his cell was literally across from us.

"Oh, I see. He just woke up about ten minutes ago, just in case you're wondering" He shrugged.

"Ok," I sighed again.

I was starring into space when an old guy wearing a brown bath robe and fluffy grey hair, very creeping looking, stood into the space I was starring, making me snap my head up.

"Can I help you?," I smiled.

"You're disturbing my violin session," he muttered.

"You don't play the violin, Mr Greene" James butt in.

"I could play the violin" he snapped.

A nurse noticed from the other end of the hall, she looked like she was looking for him. The nurse came rushing over and taking his left arm in her hand, laughing a little.

"They are like little kids, can't let them out your sight," she giggled - along with me and James laughing too.

"What a weirdo," James said.

"James!" I exclaimed "It's not his fault,"

"Yeah, no one can control their weirdness," He laughed, I rolled my eyes.

The clock struck 4:00pm. I sighed and got up from my computer chair and headed over towards Luke's cell and unlocked it. The screeching noise of the metal scratching along the marble floor caused Luke's head to snap round.

He had been sitting on his bed facing the wall and hugging his knees, rocking back and forward slightly.

"Luke?," I whispered.

"W-What?" He whispered back.

"It's dinner time," I told him.

"I'm n-not hun-gry" he stuttered.

"Luke why are you stuttering? Are you okay?," I asked in a quiet voice.

"I can't help it," he snapped, in a stern voice.

"Ok, sorry" I whispered "You need to eat, you haven't ate since yesterday, how aren't you hungry?"

"I-I'm just not," His voice croaked.

"Will I bring you a tray of food? Y'know, just incase you get a little hungry?"

He stared at me, like he was trying to kill me with his eyes. "Fine" he sighed, itching the skin between his forearm and his upper arm. (a/n not the elbow, the opposite side)

I nodded and walked out his cell, turning around to lock it again, and walked down the dark and creepy hallway. My footsteps echoed throughout the hallway, on the concrete floor.

Once I reached the double doors, I opened the left side, the light illuminating the hallway behind me.

The canteen was busy. A lot of patients were sitting their selves at a table of 4 or more. There were so many unsociable patients, they just never found an interest in communicating with others, learning about other people and their disease. It was doctor recommended, and always mentioned at counselling sessions. But they don't listen.

None of them do.

I awaited in the long line with a blue plastic tray with a carton of Apple juice in one of the sections on the tray. The line was moving rather slow for my liking -- the lunch ladies were so lazy and nasty -- which annoyed me and a few other nurses here, but we didn't tell Mrs Robertson, the head of the institution, because she was very intimidating and scary if I'm honest.

Once the line started moving again, I sighed in relief. The canteen was noisy, but cut dead silent when the metal double doors opened, revealing a very pissed off looking Luke, who was accompanied by Jack, who was one of the security that escorted the psychotic patients.

When Luke seen me, his angry glare turned into a cheeky smirk, eyeing me up and down, making me feel conscious about myself. My outfit wasn't exactly appealing or attractive.

He turned to say something to Jack who had a firm grasp on his upper arm, jack then looked over and met my gaze before nodding at Luke and walking him over to me.

"Miss Rose, Luke tells me you're getting his food for him, correct?" He asked.

"Yeah, that's correct" I nodded.

"Well ill set him over by the far left window, since that's the only table available"

"Ok" I smiled.

The room gradually gotten louder again until it was at its normal state. When the cue had moved as much where I now had access to the food, I picked up the large silverware spoon and put a few chips onto the tray. I retrieved the spoon and sighed, knowing I had to keep waiting till I could reach the other food.

About ten minutes later, I finally got enough food. The tray contained, chips {fries}, little chicken nuggets, the potato smiley faces, which was ironic since Luke wasn't happy, and then a little blob of tomato sauce at the side.

The food here at The Riversfields institution has upgraded there food, it genuinely use to look like paper marshy and slushy peas, there was changes due to how inedible it was.

I walked over up to the far left of the room, where Luke had his arms folded on the square table with his head rested in them. Once I stood in front of him and forced the tray onto the table, his head snapped up in fright, his dark brown eyes starring into mine, like he was putting me in a trance. I really did wonder how he got they tattoos and piercings if he's been locked up in a institution all these years..

"Dinners served," I mumbled, avoiding his penetrating gaze "it's getting cold, just letting you know, the plastic knife and fork is in the little plastic underneath the juice" I smiled small.

I went to walk away but a small and croaky "wait" made me freeze, I turned around "don't go" He whispered.

I nodded and took a seat in front of him, watching him as he ate his food. "how did you manage to get your markings?" I asked.

"You mean my tattoos and piercings?" He asked with a cocked eyebrow.

"Yeah"

"Well, I'll be honest, I threatened my previous guard to take me to get them done. You see, I blackmailed her Scar" He said.

"My name is Scarlet, but Nurse Rose to you." I told him sternly.

"Wooah" he said, raising his hand in defence "alright, geez"

"Anyway, I kept the blackmailing thing every time I wanted something, she was like my bitch" He smiled smugly.

"What was her name?"

"Sarah,"

"What was the blackmail?"

"What's with all the questions?" He hit back.

"I just want to know about more about you, s'all" I shrugged.

He sighed "well if you must know, I caught her and this guy fucking in the laundry room" He smirked. "I'll be honest again, I waited until they were done, then I told them I caught them."

What a pervert.

"Ew" I scrunched my nose "why? That's sick"

"Nurse Rose, you don't get any laptops or phones, when you're a hormonal young guy who is restricted to the internet, you will do anything to get access to porn, I was lucky and got the live thing" He smirked.

"You also don't get pen and paper, I had my skin and a tattoo gun"
