Writers POV for a change..

Once Scarlet settled on a channel after flicking through dozens, she chose the music channel, because who didn't love music?

Daniel was still in his room, putting Lily into her little cradle his sister, Chloe, had dropped off with her. Lily looked really cute in the cradle, her little pink soft onesie with her woolly bed hat that Daniel had actually bought when his sister was in the hospital having the baby. He admired her from afar -- the door frame to be persist -- thinking about the family he hoped to have one day in the far future, he is literally too busy for relationships and children, don't forget pretty young too.

Scarlet was humming away to the variation of songs that played softly in the background from the TV of the apartment as she put a fresh coat of baby pink nail polish on, her eyebrows furrowing slightly with the tip of her tongue sticking out the side in concentration.

A sudden knock at the door made Scarlet jump slightly, getting a little bit of polish on her skin. "For fuck sake," She cussed as she got up off the chair and slowly and lazily made her way over to the front door.

There were two police officers standing in front of her, one with a blank emotionless face who was pretty young looking -- maybe early/mid twenties? -- the other was about forty looking, with a stern expression. "Good evening, Miss Rose, correct?" The one with the stern look asked.

She gulped at their appearances, "Y-Yes" Her voice croaked.

"And I will be correct again if I say you worked at Riversfield?" He said.

"That's correct officer." She nodded.

"Oh where are my manners," He chuckled dryly, "I'm Officer Stephens, and this-" He motioned to the emotionless man "this is Officer Brooks"

She smiled politely and nodded at his change of mood. "Excuse me if I come off rude, but why are you both here?" Scarlet asked.

"Right, we are here to talk to you about the missing patient, Luke Brooks" He explained. Officer Brooks on the other hand, shivered at the name. Scarlet also shivered, her heart beat increasing as well.

"O-Oh, Of course, come on in" She extended an arm to gesture for the two officers to come into the apartment.

Officer Stephens nodded as Officer Brooks looked extremely uncomfortable. Many reasons were zooming through Scarlet's head at why he was acting like that. They have the same surname after all, were they related?

Both Officers sat down on the couch as Scarlet sat in her previous seat. Bringing her knees up to her chest.

"Is there anyone else in the apartment at this moment of time?" Officer Stephens spoke, Officer Brooks was just staring blankly at the TV, really unprofessional looking.

"Yes, my room mate Daniel is in his bedroom." She said.

"Is alright if he comes out?" He asked.

"Sure," She chirped, getting off of her chair once again and made her way over to Daniel's room, who was sitting at the edge of his bed, his forearms resting on his thighs as he text someone. "Daniel, there are two police officers out there to talk about Luke and they want you out there two." She whispered, even though there wasn't anything secretive about it.

"Ok," He sighed and walked out of the room and into the lounge with Scarlet.

Scarlet sat back down onto the chair again as Daniel got a spare stool from the kitchen, bringing it over and across from Scarlet, the only thing separating the two was the coffee table, as the two police officers sat on the couch that was to Scarlet's right and to Daniel's left.
