What is that supposed mean, these people are too mysterious, I don't like it. My tail bone starts to ache from sitting on the hard van floor and my hands are going numb from the duct tape being wrapped around my wrists, the same with my feet. We sit in silence for a long time and I decide to lie down and fall asleep because I can see that it's dark out again and my eyelids are barely able to stay open. I should get some sleep so I'm more cleared headed later, however they say that you think the best when your half asleep, but I find that hard to believe.
So I let myself fall to the side and readjust so I can see all of my kidnappers and not be worried or stressed, then convince myself to fall asleep and let my eyelids drop, and just slip into sleep soundly, surprisingly.
I jump awake to the sound of the van doors opening and slamming shut, I look around to see everyone getting out and stretching. I try to bring my hand up to rub my eyes but realize that there's duct tape wrapped around my wrists, and remember everything that happened, so I just blink my way through the brightness of the morning sun.
My heart races when the back doors fling open, I struggle to sit up and see Pat and Tyler standing there straight faced, they each grab an arm and yank me out of the van. They let go to close the van doors and let me fall onto the spiky browned grass, this surprises me because I'm used to falling on pavement now. Not really but it sure feels like it, grass is very luxurious in comparison. Then Tyler rips the duct tape from my mouth and throws it to the ground.
Doors thud closed and I hear the keys jingle as Tyler locks the van, Pat grabs under my armpits and Tyler grabs my legs, I struggle, even though I know that I can't get anywhere even if I do manage to get them to let go. But I want to make them suffer even this little bit, then I see the woman opening the door of a white house made of boards, it looks like you could still live in it, but you can tell it's older.
The white paint is somewhat chipped and worn and the short, small deck creaks slightly when Tyler and Pat carry me up the steps and through the red door frame. I get a glimpse outside and see nothing but short browned grass and a few bushes with the endless gravel road.
We get inside and the girl closes the door. "Jasmine, go upstairs and open the door to her room, hurry up." Tyler snaps at the brown haired girl, she races up the fairly stable looking wooden stairs and I hear the creak of door hinges.
Now that I'm not on that hard floor my muscles and bones don't ache as much, at least that part of it is good. Eeven though they wouldn't have hurt if I'd never gotten kidnapped in the first place.
I see the girl holding open a white door and Tyler and Pat position themselves to go through it, after that they swing me and Tyler counts down.
"Three...two..." They swing me back and forth, then "One!" Tyler yells and they grunt as they let go and I sail through the air, I can't help but scream as I expect to land on the hard floor, but am surprised as I sink into a soft air mattress on the floor.
"You could've just dropped me on it." I say, very displeased for the unnecessary scare.
"That would be no fun though, we wanted to hear your scream, every girl has a different scream you know." Pat cruely smiles.
"Could I at least have a bed." I complain, and Tyler stares at me with eyes that almost make me gasp, they're...they're...red.
I freeze, how did I not notice this before. I can't believe I got kidnapped by an albino! It's not bad, just, different, I've never seen someone who's an albino before, and I never thought I would.
"A bed's not a necessity, this is your new home for a while, so get used to it." He walks out with Pat scurrying behind him, the door creaks closed and I hear it lock.
What will I do now? The room is completely empty from the air mattress in the corner that I'm lying on, at least there's a rag for a blanket at my feet.
Then the brown hair blue eyed boy walks in and I greet him with a scowl, he laughs.
"Nice to meet you too." He waves happily, then I see the knife in his hand. "I see you found the knife I have, don't worry, I'm just taking the duct tape off." He smiles again, I look into his eyes.
"Can't you just unravel it?" I suggest and he thinks.
"I suppose, but that wouldn't build any trust between us, now would it? And this way is much more fun." He smiles and looks out the window with a hand on his hip twirling the knife. He crouches beside me "Don't move." He commands, and I obey, for the first and probably last time.
I feel the dull edge of the blade like ice on my wrists, then there's a snap and he slowly peels the tape away.
"Can't you just rip it off?" I sigh.
"But I want you to remember me, and besides you are funny when things like these happen." He smirks and I scowl back.
Once he's done he leaves without another word.
