The Capitol

I look out the window in awh when I see the Capitol approaching ahead of us, my face glued to glass mesmerized by all the tall buildings and colors. I feel hands snake around my waist and hot minty breath on my neck. I moved my head to the side the slightest bit and give Gale a soft kiss.

"Good morning gorgeous!" He grins

" Morning handsome!" I smile back

We walk back over to the dinning room table and fill our plates with food. Everyone else saunters in a few minutes later and sit sleepily at the table. Everyone's pretty quiet since it's early so I decide to liven things up. I look at Gale and then look at the rolls and back at him and he nods.

So I pick one up pretending to eat it, and then randomly throw it and it hits Finnick in the face, he's so startled that he falls out of his chair onto his butt. And then the room erupts into laughter. Finnick gives me a serious look and then bursts out laughing.

"Good one Lilly!" He chuckles

" Thanks Finn! I thought it was pretty good!" I grin

I get up and help him up, while giggling at the same time. He pulls me into him and starts tickling me all over the place, and I end up on the floor laughing my head off. Then Cato, Brant and Gale join in dragging Katniss down with them. It lasts for a good ten minutes and then we go get dressed.

It's cold and windy outside so I dress in warm leggings, a long sleeve sweater that goes past my butt, a warm winter jacket and furry winter boots, scarf and gloves. Lastly letting my hair down in its natural waves. I look in the mirror one last time and gather all my stuff and head out to the main car to meet the others. I go and stand by Finnick and Gale, when the train stops we all walk off onto the platform.

As I look around I spot a familiar blonde standing at the station, I walk towards him and say in my best fake Capitol voice," helllloooo there sexy!"

He still has his back turned and replies;

" I'm sorry miss but, I have no interest in whatever business you want to offer me."

I smirk and say," Well it would be more polite if you actually looked at me, handsome."

He turns around and looks at me and his reaction is hilarious, once he realizes who I am.

"CallaLilly Everwood, is that you?" He grins

" In the flesh, I have changed a lot haven't I Gloss?" I smile

" Yes, damn your absolutely GORGEOUS!!" He smiles

" Awh, your too sweet. I am not that pretty gloss!" I say laughing

"I speak only the truth darling." He says

"Oh just hug me already!" I say grin

He wraps his arms around me and kisses me on the head. I look over his shoulder and see Johanna Mason and Enobaria Lock walk off the train.

" Gloss, Johanna and Enobaria just arrived, call them over." I say

He yells over to them and they walk towards us and give him a hug. They both look at me and the Johanna says " who the hell are you?"

"Well hello to you too Johanna, I figured you wouldn't recognize me, since you haven't seen me in five years.." I say sarcastically

" Holy shit.... CallaLilly, is that you?" She says

" Yup it is, took you long enough brainless!" I smirk

She laughs and then her and Enobaria hug me. We break apart and they smile at me.

Gloss, Enobaria, and Johanna look at the other people in my group, they give Finnick and Haymitch a hug or friendly handshake and then back away. I look at them and say," well this isn't awkward at all!"

Everyone laughs at my comment. And then I say, "Gloss,Johanna, Enobaria, I want you to meet some very important people, that have a special place in my heart. This is Brant Lewis, family friend and practically my big brother, he was also One of Nicks best friends. This is Katniss Everdeen, one of my best friends and someone who I think of as my sister, she is the most stubborn, crazy,loving person I have met and a royal pain in the ass, but I love her anyways. And Cato Hadley, best friend, ex boyfriend, and the biggest goof ball in the world, but it's hard not to love him because of that. And lastly, Gale Hawthorne, best friend since we were babies, my current boyfriend and my rock for the past month and a half, I love him with my heart and soul."

They all shake each others hands and smile, then Johanna, Enobaria and Gloss all look directly at Gale giving him a sadistic grin and Enobaria says, " listen here pretty boy, if you hurt her I will personally rip your throat out!"She hisses

" Yes mamm, but trust me I love her too much to ever do that to her." Gale says politely

"Not to be rude guys, but what are you doing here? " Johanna asks

" Why don't we go to our hotel and I'll explain things there." I say " okay." all three say, and we walk off towards the direction of the hotel we will be staying in. We check in and then head to our room, which is more like an apartment.

We put our stuff down and look around the room, which is beautifully designed, a sunset orange color with white trim and polished hard wood flooring. Once we are done exploring, I head out the roof top, since we are on the top floor pent house of the hotel.

Everyone one come up with me and we sit in silence for a moment or two, I take that moment to take in the Capitol. Finally someone speaks up, "Lilly, so what are you guys doing here?" Johanna asks. I inhale and reply," Well, about a month and a half ago... I started having weird nightmares, in the dreams I would come home from school and ... W-well mom and N-n-nick would both be laying there dead. I had those dreams twice that week, the Friday of that week I came home and found mom dead and Nick with a dagger in his chest, still breathing, but just barely. I got say goodbye to him and even find out who did this to them, and finally a few weeks later. I found the two boys who did it and now I'm here for the trial." I feel tears well up in my eyes and fall down my cheeks again.

"Oh my beautiful girl, I am so sorry sweetheart!" Enobaria says and hugs me tightly

" Lilly... Oh you poor thing, come here." Johanna pulls me in and kisses my forehead.

" I'm so sorry baby girl, you have been through so much, you are so strong honey, I love you Lilly." Gloss says and embraces me in his arms. I feel my legs give out under me and Gloss lifting me in his arms as I sob into his shirt with my head on his chest.

After what seems like forever I stop and look up at everyone and say," I love you guys, all of you so much, you guys are always here for me when I need you." Everyone smiles and I hug them all and I kiss Gale, we all head inside and eat dinner and laugh and play games and then go to our rooms for the night.

I walk to my room and change into sweatpants and one of Gales t-shirts. I crawl under then covers and get comfy, then there's a knock on the door and Gale enters, I smile and move over and he crawls under next to me. I look into his eyes and say," I love you Gale." he smiles and says," I love you too gorgeous, sweet dreams baby girl."

We kiss and I snuggle down into the blankets with my head on his chest and his arms around my waist, I fall into a peaceful dreamless sleep.
