Khloris's POV

steps of death is what i liked to call them as me and my family walk to the reaping, Enobaria was escorted early sense shes a victor and mentor, i felt nervous and every step i kept taking was making me nauseous. I've never fought a real person I've only practiced moves and skils because if i had any marks on me and my parents saw then there will be more.. don't ask me please

i stood at the front line were the victors families stand and began to listen to the lady just like every other year

we watched the annual video explanning why we have the games and so on and on

" welcome to the 75th hunger games reaping" the girl with about 10 pounds of bright pink hair on her head said so cheerfully

" I would say laddies first but it is one bowl this year" everyone chuckled lightly, we were the district that wanted the capitol to favor us so if we had to agree to a stupid comment than we would, she stuck her hand in and moved her fingers around before pulling one card and i felt my heart beating faster every second she slowly pulled it out to keep us up on suspense, i swear i stated to freak ou when she unwrapped the paper and read out

"Enobaria Luxe" she shouted cherfully and Barias face dropped but soon she faked a smile with her teeth making her look like a vicious competitor

" so my darling do you have your sister or brother going with you"

"yes i do, Khloris come up here" she said cheerfully and automatically i knew what she was doing and that, she didnt want to look weak on live television, tears slipped from my eyes why i walked up to the stage

" why are you crying darling?" the lady said and i faked a smile

" becaue it is such a honor to be with my sister in the arena, she's such a insperation to me" i smiled and me and Baria entertwined our hands and held them up and the crowd went crazy after saying our goodbyes we went straight to the train and recievd letters from our parents

my dearst daughters

if your reading this than you have been reaped and are going to fight, do NOT dare show weakness you will not in any way emarass this family. Take care of eachother and remeber you are sisters but when you play you are an alliance. do make us proud.

"wow" baria breathed out "he is still a prick when we are about to fight to the death" she chuckles and i nod and sit down baria wraps an arm around me and try's to tell me good things about what is in the capitol making me feel less stressed and i feel a little at ease

*clack clack clack* i hear from down the hall way of the train car and the same woman fro the reaping was right in front of us and Baria got up and hugged her, the lady was simpathetic about this situation

"oh my heaven i forgot to introuce my self darling im Peltivas" her strong capitol accent took a little getting used to but i gave her my name in return like she already didnt know that

"okay ladies as soon as we get to the capitol we must get ready for the chariots, remember heads up victory faces on, your from district two so take advantages of how much evrybody already loves you, Enobaria you already know how this whole thing works so explain to your sister okay" her final words before the train stopped and she rushed us out, capitol people were everywhere trying to get a sneak peek of the victors who were reaped. i felt so many hands touch me and tug on my shirt, Enobaria was so famous here so it was worse for her, they were touching her everywhere, pulling her hair,and someone tried to kiss her too and i busted out laughing and so did she as soon as we were rushed up to the dressing and make up rooms, we had at least 2 hours of people plucking all the hair off of us and then got sent to make up

i admired my make up exaggerated black eye shadow make up with flakes of gold on top, my skin looked more tan and smoothed my dark brown hair was my lips were a dark purple color, my hair held a crown on the top with small braids slithering around it while the rest of hir was curled down. my dress was white and long with a gold clapse around my waist making me look thinner. Barias looked similar but different in ways but they still went perfectly together.

we went down to the chariot room were other victors were talking to each other i spotted ours and started petting the horse

" im gonna go talk to Cashmere and gloss" Enobaria spoke " Try to to talk to anyone but if you do, act tough us careers come off to people as confident" and i laughed and nodded as she walked away, the horse was beautiful but i was jeloaus of it. why would i be? this horse has many years to live and i dont even know if im gonna be able to last 1 hour in the arena, the horse isn't forced to compete in these types of games.

"sugar cube?" a man asked me, i looked up at him and he was magnificent, handsome, he was one of the most beutifullest things ive ever seenin my life, i declined his offer

" so do yo have those shark teeth to?" he laughed out

"nope but if i did i know who i would use them on first" i whispered annoyed by his remark

"that must suck having to come with your big sister to a deadly game"

"im honored to be here for your information" i fought back

"calm down, hot stuff" he teased making my face blush but i snapped back into reality
" I know it's your first time in the games"

"what do you want odair?" finally cutting to the chase and he moved closer making me back up as his mouth less than an inch away from my ear,

"when you can't depend on the careers and you need protection ill make you a deal" he says with a grin plastered on his face and i raise my eyebrow asking what he wants,

" i want a secret of yours" he whispers while rubbing up and down my arm.. He was trying to make me go against Baria and that was not going to happen

Finnick's POV

i feel taken back when she puts her hand on my bare chest and moves closer to my lip and says "ill keep that in mind" then turns back around to what she was doing.in the corner of my eye i see Enobaria sending death glares towards me that are cleary saying "just wait till the arena" but im not scared of her i just know the careers will turn on Khloris faster than she could throw a knife. i send Enobaria a wink making her hiss sending a wide mouth of monsters teeth at me.
