Chapter 1-

Yet another Extravagant Mikaelson ball held within Mystic Falls - their parties always sparked the most entertaining arguments, usually between Damon Salvatore and the Mikaelsons one and only: Klaus.

"Elijah, would you bloody help me with this dress!" - roared Rebekah, the youngest sister of the Mikaelsons, always in an irritable state.

She cursed as she attempted to button the silk emerald green dress, coated in pristine diamonds from top to bottom, A true gown for a member of royalty.
Elijah entered, As Nobel and elevated as ever - he always had such majesty within his walk, with a soothing yet sharp tone of voice...and that's what made him so feared - he never raised his voice, not once. He never lost his temper, even in the most heated of situations.
"Here, Rebekah darling let me..." As Elijah buttoned the dress with as little effort as possible.
The five Mikaelsons stood proud like true vampire royalty. Klaus, Finn, Elijah, Rebekah and of course, Kol Mikaelson.

Kol POV-
"Let the party begin!" My excessive brother boomed from the height of the ancient mansion staircase, As applause and cheers filled the hair with sadistic 20th century tunes.
My brothers had always tried to find me a mate, a fine woman - except no one Interested me. My brothers are men of the modern age, handsome, romanticised by this modern world. I on the other hand, was the complete opposite - I knew I could attract any woman's attention.

I sat on a leathered red bar stool, opposite the stairs - with full view of this over exaggerated party. The party was wild, our mansion was lit from end to end as a crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, imbedded with tiny glowing diamonds. The music thundered around the room, creating the cutlery to rattle. Glasses clamping. Inconsequential polite conversation with canapés and define red wine,
smiles with laughter and of course: A roar drunk Damon Salvatore, attempting to chat up my darling sister. Maybe I wasn't in the fanatical party mood, or maybe I was bored with living.

"Oh for heavens sake brother, doesn't anyone here pick your fancy?" - Klaus grabbed my shoulder from behind, with a wild boyish grin on his face.
"Honestly, Klaus you know I can have anyone I want" I joked back in a brotherly bond way.
" So no one here picks your fancy. Not one?"
"No Brother" I replied bluntly, sipping my drink, attempting to not hold eye contact
"Well I must say, Caroline is looking rather Devine tonight, so if you'll excuse me brother..."
"Not at all" - so there I sat, examining the room of hot bodies enjoying and living life to the fullest.

From across the room I could sense Hayley and Rebekah talking, I swished my gin and tonic as I listened carefully

From across the room I could sense Hayley and Rebekah talking, I swished my gin and tonic as I listened carefully. They turned their heads, swiftly my way.
Hayley was dazed "So what's the deal with Kol?"
Rebekah grunted
"Well apparently no one here is good enough for him"
They both chuckled "Apparently not..."

I decided to take a walk, I refilled my glass and interacted with some people for once. Mingling was never my thing. I soaked in the atmosphere and smiled at a mere few strangers entering the party late.

Just as I turned my head towards or grand front door. Suddenly I froze unruly, I was in a state of shock. Extreme shock.
