*A/N* Thanks so much for the words of encouragement, guys! It really helped and I think I will continue writing this... I have more ideas for this one than I do for my sequel right now, so this one is a winner. I'm going to attempt to keep this one kind of short, but with what I had planned, I don't know if that'll happen. It's worth a shot though! I am warning you that in some spots, it might escalate rather quickly because of me keeping it short and sweet. Thanks again guys! <3~

Pete had just picked me up from my house and we were on our way to his house. He has his own place, so that's nice. At least we can go in without having to be stopped by his parents every time and them asking what happened this time. Sometimes I felt like they didn't even care, honestly... They just seemed to be like "Oh, he's here... again..." That's the vibe I got, so I was happy that Pete finally moved out. He got a nice appartment in the city. It was pretty big, a little too big for one person in my opinion, but it's Pete's and that's what makes him happy. He's a guy that likes his space.

"And here we are," Pete said as he pulled up to the complex.

I look up and see his apartment. We both get out of the vehicle silently and then walk into the building. Pete gives the receptionist a small smile and then we continue to walk towards the elevator. We finally get there and Pete hits the fourth floor button. Once we get up to his apartment, I instantly collapse onto the couch. I bring my knees up to my face and let a few tears escape my eyes. Pete walked out of the bathroom and sees me.

"Ry," he said as he sat next to me and hugged me.

"W-What?" I mumble.

"You're more than welcome to live here, you know that," he said.

"I know and I appreciate that, but I know my mom will eventually find out and then come here," I said. "I don't want her hurting you."

"I'd do anything to protect you," he said as he hugged me tighter. "Please stay here. It gets lonely anyway. I could use some company."

"Fine," I said.

This is why I loved Pete, and yes, I mean love. He was always there for me and knew how to help me. He was a true friend and I knew that if I was ever in trouble, he'd be right there by my side. He's more than I could ever ask for. I'm not denying the fact that we've expressed our love for each other multiple times either... We weren't ever a couple, more like friends with benefits, but we resepected each other and the benefits we gave each other. I honestly felt like we were a couple sometimes... I wish we were...

"What are you thinking about?" Pete asked.

"Things," I said.

"Thank you Captain Obvious, but what 'things'?" he asked.

"U-Us," I say.

"Like what? What do you mean?" he asked.

"Pete, don't you ever feel like there should be an us or there was an us at some point?" I asked.

"Yeah," he said.

"What one?" I asked.

"Like there should be an us," he said.

"R-Really?" I asked.

"Yeah, I mean why not? We've done it before, as far as I know, we both love each other, and lets face it: We're perfect for each other," Pete said.

I was taken back by that, but in a good way. I can't believe that Pete feels the way I do. This was one of the best moments of my life.

"Ryro, I think we should date," Pete said.

"I do too," I said as I blushed a little.

"Is Ryan Ross blushing?!" he asked.

"No," I say as I laugh.

"Ryan Ross doesn't blush!" he said.

"I do when I'm around you," I said as I tackled him onto the couch.

"Oh, do you now?" Pete asked.

"You know it," I said as I bit my lip.

Pete pulled me closer to him and kissed me with a deep, passionate kiss. One of the best kisses ever!

"I think you should be my boyfriend," I say, breaking off our kiss.

"I think I should too," he said as he kissed me again.
