**Warning Graphic**
Jessie's POV
I began to slowly bite into the apple slices Louis had prepared for me. I'd found the bag of apples and, despite my protests, he cut them into slices for me. It was a nice gesture, but I think he did it because he didn't want me touching the knife. That almost hit a nerve as I wasn't suicidal and I was defiantly not going to threaten any of them with the blade. Maybe Harry once he got back, but not any of the rest.
As I ate my snack I found myself sitting on the old couch and allowing my gaze to shift around the room. Most of the dust had been cleared out, much to my enjoyment, and now I was able to sit much more comfortably. Louis had gone up stairs for an unknown reason, but I assumed it was to talk to Liam about something. Most likely about why he had chose not to go with the others.
I shook my head slightly and sighed. This was the first time in the two days that I've been here that I've been able to sit comfortably on my own, and all I could think about was what would Harry do to me once he got back. I shuddered slightly at the thought of his hands on my skin again despite the fact that I knew I desired his touch at some degree. My shoulder and my pink throbbed lightly as if to remind me of the pain he'd caused me.
"Jessie?" Louis' voice cut through my thoughts.
I looked up and took a bite of the apple slice. "Hm?"
"I was just making sure you were okay. You seemed...out of it." He said softly as he walked closer to the couch then sat down on the arm.
I sighed quietly and sat up a bit. "I have a lot on my mind, Louis. I kind of have the right to be out of it." I gently responded.
He nodded thoughtfully and pressed his lips together. "Is there anything I can do to help you with whatever it is you have on your mind?"
Yeah, you could stop your best friend from raping or doing whatever he plans to do to me tonight, I thought to myself as I stared blankly at him. I couldn't give any of this away unless I wanted to end up dead. I mentally shuddered at how Harry would probably take pleasure in touching me before he killed me.
"I don't know..distract me, maybe?" I suggested and bit the inside of my cheek.
He laughed quietly and adjusted himself so he was seated on the cushion beside me. "How would I do that?"
"Hmm.." I thought for a moment while chewing an apple slice. "Tell me something fun you remember from your childhood."
He frowned slightly as he looked at me then he looked down at his hands that were resting on his lap. The tension in the air seemed to heighten and I honestly hoped I didn't hit some kind of nerve. Usually whenever I did that around Harry it would result in me being pinned to a bed or being slapped. I cringed a bit at the thought of either coming from Louis.
"I'm sorry..I didn't mean to pry or anything, Louis. I hate over stepping my boundaries with you guys.." I frowned and bit down on my bottom lip. "I'm just..curious about all of you."
He laughed quietly, but it was a laugh that didn't reach his eyes or his smile. His blue eyes lifted to meet my brown ones and I could see the unexpressed emotions within them. "No..no, it's okay , Jessie. You're not over stepping at all. Its just hard for me to think about my childhood because it most likely isn't as you would expect it to be."
I cocked my head slightly as I studied him. "Why is that?"
"Because I grew up in a foster home. My father..I think he left my mum after she got pregnant with my sister, but don't hold me to that as I was very young when that happened. No one really told me what happened to him." He sighed quietly and shook his head a bit to himself.
