Far away, the two F-17s and the F-15 were playing a game of cat and mouse... and they were the mice! The three fighters struggled to dodge the laser attacks. They were racing against time as the two other Air-cruisers were nearing the city.
"Arrrgh! This is crazy!" grumbled Nikki.
"We can't just keep dodging like this!" exclaimed Jai.
"Just, how the hell do we deal those things!?" asked Johnny.
"We have to destroy those laser cannons," replied Liza. "That will pretty much take 'em out."
"That's all!? Then let's go on the offensive!" shouted Mr. Fruitcake as he flew towards the attackers. "Follow my lead! And try not to get shot down!"
"Whatever he's planning, it can't be worse than this, so let's do it!" said Nikki. The Felix-B followed suit.
"Full speed ahead, Jai!" Cassie shouted excitedly. The Felix-C flew behind the others.
They formed at single file, three fighter formation. "Hold a steady 500 knots, children!" relayed Johnny.
They flew straight between to the two Air-cruisers just as both cannons fired at the same time. But the beams collided into each other as the three fighters swiftly passed through unscathed! The collision formed into a big ball of unstable red energy, which shrunk into nothing again as the two beams were repelled in opposite directions back to where they were fired, instantly destroying the top laser cannons, thus triggering the destruction of the two Air Cruisers! 'Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, BANG, BANG, BANG, BOOM!!!!!'
"Oh, and that's the end of them!" cheered Johnny as they broke formation. "You two! Quickly now, blast the cannons on those monsters while I draw their fire!" His fighter shot forward! He quickly over took them and they began firing at him!
"You heard the man! Now's our chance!" exclaimed Cassie.
"I got eyes on the left one. You take the right one!" ordered Liza.
"Aye-yi, vice captain!" replied Jai as both fighters flew behind the remaining Air-cruisers.
They each fired a Sidewinder. "Fox away!" exclaimed the four teens in unison. *Bang, bang!* The missiles stuck the cannons head on! Both airships started exploding and crashed into the ground! 'Double Ka-BOOM!!!'
"Victory!" cheered Jai.
"Crisis averted!" cheered Cassie.
"Let's contact the carrier!" suggested Nikki!"
"We have to give a mission report!" said Liza.
"You guy's can go on ahead, I'm going to refuel at CAR-25 in the Gulf of Mexico," said Johnny. "I'll be seeing you kids some other time. Take care!"
The F-15 Strike Eagle flew away towards the city and beyond.
"Ba-bye now! See ya later!" the four teens waved.
"Now let's head back," commanded Liza. "I'd imagine them awaiting our safe return."
"Yea," replied the others in unison." Both jets turned around and started flying towards the far away Pacific ocean.
Meanwhile, back the carrier, at about 2:20 pm, Jadian and I were busy repairing the damaged jet.
"Pliers!"
Jadian handed me a pair and I snipped a long thin blue wire connected to a big metal box in the back near the engines, at the base. This box held the INFC inside of it and protects it. It had many thick and thin wires of different colors running all over the place and therefore acts as a power distribution unit. The wire I just snipped sends power to the scram-jets. It was burnt and needed to be replaced, as with all the 47 others I did already.
