The entered the next room and found a big frame with an abstract painting in it, resembling the one in the real gallery. This is it, their way to escape. As both of them walked closer, the golden frames around the painting disappeared. Garry stepped back a few steps, then leapt into the painting successfully.
“Take my hand, I’ll pull you up!”, Garry exclaimed, holding one hand out for Ib to grab.
But she didn’t move. She was looking towards another direction with a surprised face.
“..Mother?”, Ib stated.
Now Garry was confused. There’s only the both of them in the room, no one else!
“What are you talking about? There’s no one here except for us!”, Garry stated.
Still, Ib didn’t move from the spot she’s standing on.
“Ib? Is something wrong?”, Garry asked.
Ib turned to face him, then to the empty space a few feet in front of her. Back to him, then back to the empty space. Ib lifted her hand up and seem to grab something invisible to his eyes, and walked away from where she was standing on before.
He looked over the corner of the painting he’s standing on, watching as Ib disappeared out of sight.
“Ib! Wait!”
