Her feet
Slipped in the sand
The soft, sodden sand
And she fell to her knees
Grabbing handfuls
Of the sand
Pouring it over her legs
Her feet
Her arms
Her hands
She screamed
Into the sand
Letting the grainy chunks
Run down her throat
Tears slipped
Down her cheeks
And she traced
The lines of the streaking water
Kneeling close to the blue, blue, blue
Laughing
When her hands turned brown and wet
Blue, blue, blue water
Spreading coolness across her skin
She stopped
She closed her eyes
She looked up to the sky
She looked down to the sea
Her eyes were wild
They said they turned green
When she was about to do something reckless
She swallowed
And she smashed herself
Into the water
Letting her hair tangle around her
Letting the current pull her towards it
Throwing her hands up in the air
Letting the waves take her
