She stayed there
Huddled up
In a blanket of sand
With ocean water
For cocoa
All evening
And all night
Staring up at the sky
She tilted her head
It was blue, blue like the ocean
But darker, much darker
Dark like rippling shades
Of aquamarine
She lifted her hand
Tracing
The silver dust in the sky
The tiny light bulbs
The bursts of glitter
That shone
That shone, just for her
They glimmered
In the navy blue sky
And faded
Just like she did
But they always, always
Came back on
Bright, and smiling
She smiled
Turning on her backside
Lifting her pinky
And tracing two words in the sand
I'm beautiful.
The end.
