Chapter 30

Ziva's POV

I finally arrive home after a long tiring walk in the park. The first thing I notice when I see our house is all the cars in front of it. Every single car of every single team member is here. Why the team is at the house is a complete mystery for me. I silently enter the house trying to make sure I don't wake Katherine and Ethan up. But apparently I wasn't silent enough because the minute I look up, the team appears with guns pointed at my head. I let out a little scream and immediately curse in Hebrew. I look at the kids and sigh out of relieve that they are still sleeping. I then give the team an angry look before scolding and asking what the hell is going on. They remind me of the mess in the kitchen and my phone. I guess I do have some explaining to do. I bring the kids over to the living room and then go to the rest of the team in the kitchen. I explain that I forgot my phone here in a rush to get the kids out of the house. Katherine is a little sick and she was being quite difficult which led to Ethan being difficult too. So I put them both in the stroller and went for a walk. In the hurry I forgot my phone. The mess was because I got frustrated and dropped a couple of things. I thought I would be able to clean it up before Tony would get home. He was supposed to stay away the entire day.

I get a very angry look from Abby before she hugs me tightly. Also telling me to never ever do that again. Guess she didn't really get over the first time I disappeared. I ask Tony to help me bring the kids to bed and I promise to come back as soon as they are in bed. Luckily they stay fast asleep as we lay them down. When we go down, I immediately start cleaning the mess in the kitchen. We talk about some random stuff but a clear answer on why Tony is home early I don't really get.
