I took my first step in the house, barely breathing. This mansion, was, about the same size as Gajeel's. Instead of black, it was a pearl white. The walls and furniture though, were a wine red, almost the same color as Gajeel's eyes. I never noticed before, but I loved his eyes. The crimson mixed with the black of his hair, perfect combination.
"Oi! Do ya know where Matalicana is?" Gajeel asked, ushering over an old-looking servant.
"Master Matalicana is in the dining room," The old man responded, slightly bowing to us. The floor of the entrance, was a black marble, just like the lining of the walls. Much like Gajeel's, there were two staircases, leading to the same place -- the second floor.
Gajeel nodded before grabbing my wrist. He practically dragged me to the dining room, which I almost gasped when I saw. The walls, were a dark brown, with the floor being a tan marble. The dining room alone was probably the size of nearly my entire house!
Stretched across the middle of the room, was a long table, a white tablecloth, draped over it. As expected, I didn't recognize anyone. The entire room was buzzing with conversation until we stepped in. Everyone's head snapped towards us, filling the room with quiet.
"Wendy!" A female voice called, from the side of the room. Wendy's eyes sparkled, before she took off towards the voice, leaving only me and Gajeel as the center of attention.
"Gajeel, my boy!" A man said, emerging from the crowd of people. He looked exactly like Gajeel, except, much older. His hair was a dark black, a companied by a pair of red eyes. He was wearing a white tux, with his shoulder-length hair in a low ponytail.
"Dad," Gajeel nodded, still holding my wrist.
"Oh! So you're the girl your mother was talking about!"
I froze. He spoke to my mother?! Who knows what she told him? Now he might already see me as the 'useless brat' my mother does.....
"What's your name, again?"
"L-L-Levy, sir," I mumbled, barely above a whisper. It was hard to keep eye contact.
"Shy one, isn't she?"
"Yep. That's the Shrimp," Gajeel spoke, ruffling my hair. I looked up at him and pouted, while he merely chuckled. His dad laughed along with him, before disappearing again.
"Follow me," Gajeel whispered in my ear, his breath, tickling my neck. I shivered, before letting him lead the way. We weaved through the mess of chairs, before finally reaching a pair of light brown, doors.
"Gajeel where are we-" I choked on my words once he opened the doors. They lead to a balcony, that overlooked a magnificent garden filled with all kinds of different flowers. The dark sky was filled with brilliantly bright stars. He let go of my hand, allowing me to put both over my mouth and gasp.
"The, you like it?" He asked, looking at me expectantly. I started to nod frantically.
"It's so beautiful! I.......I love it!" I breathed, taking in the sight before me. I saw him smirk out of the corner of my eye.
"Tell me somethin' Shrimp, if ya could, would ya move back to yer old house?"
I frowned, not really having to think about it. Why would I go back to my abusive mother?
"No, not even if you offered me a million dollars," I laughed, looking up at him and smiling. He seemed, almost shocked with my response. A light blush coated his cheeks, as he looked away.
"I hope you know....... I do like living with you and Wendy," I admitted, playing with a piece of my hair.
"What do ya like about it?"
His question took me by surprise, I had to think about it for a couple seconds.
"Well, Wendy is really sweet.... and I love being with her,"
"Is that all?" He asked, leaning down so that our noses were almost touching.
"I-I-I um...." I couldn't muster words since we were so close. He smirked, before pressing his lips to mine. I let my eyes close, as I kissed him back, gripping his shoulder.
"And also because of that," I giggled, pulling away. He laughed, before standing back up to be his normal height. I blushed and faced forward, looking over all the different plants and water fountains scattered across the grassy area.
I heard a faint rustling coming from outside the door, causing me to turn my head back. A man came bursting through the doors, his back facing me. I gasped before he bumped into me, his elbow jabbing into my back. I nearly yelped but smacked my teeth together to refrain.
His elbow hit one of my biggest bruises, making me grip the railing, and let out a breath through my teeth.
"Oi! What do ya think you're doing?" Gajeel barked, picking the guy up by his collar. I could hear faint voices but all I could focus on was the pain. Was hitting a bruise this painful? It never was before..... All of a sudden, I felt a liquid run down from where he hit me. Blood.
"Shrimp?" Gajeel asked, grabbing my hand as I was about to leave the balcony. I needed to go to the bathroom or someplace to wipe the blood and see how bad it was.
"I-I-I really n-need to go s-somewhere........ah!" I yelped, closing my eye tight as a wave of pain washed over me.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?" He asked, letting the guy go, causing him to fall to the ground.
"P-Please let go! I n-need to......just let go!" I plead, feeling the blood trickle down my back. I couldn't let it hit the floor, or else someone would notice. He hesitated, before letting go. I sprinted off, nearly bumping into someone and falling over.
I held up my dress with both my hands, not wanting to trip. I frantically looked around, before spotting a white door. I quickly made my way over to it, pushing it open and slamming it shut. Thankfully, it was a bathroom and no one was in it.
I zipped down my dress as far as my short arms allowed me too, exposing my back halfway. I immediately saw where the bleeding was coming from, a giant scar on my back was halfway open, making it bleed.
I guessed when he bumped into me, he tore the skin from the scar. I was cleaning the wound with water and a paper towel, slightly wincing, when I heard a familiar voice.
"Levy?" Wendy asked, through the door.
"W-Wendy?"
"I saw you run in here, what's going on?"
I bit my lip, to keep from whimpering when I dapped at the bleeding again.
"I'm f-fine! Nothing to worry about--ah!"
Stupid pain.
"Levy! I'm getting Gajeel!"
"No! Wendy, please! Please......" I plead, falling on the floor and starting to sob.
