"Come on Gajeel!" I giggled, ushering him with my hand to come over. He smirked, starting to run towards me. I laughed, picking up my pace.

"Come here, Shrimp!" He shouted, running closer and closer to me.

"You're going to have to catch me!" I laughed, making a sharp turn. He nearly fell over, making me fill up with giggles. He growled, regaining his balance and running faster. My bare feet flew across the forest floor, jumping over roots and bushes. The scenery rushing past me, as I felt the wind on my face.

"Shrimp!!" He roared, still trying to catching me. My legs may be short, but they can carry me far away.

"Slowpoke!" I taunted, turning my head around and sticking my tongue out at him. He groaned, reaching his long arm out as if aching to reach me. I shook my head, smirking. I wiped my head back around, giggling through the air that filled my lungs.

"Gotcha!!" He shouted as I felt arms wrap around my torso. I squeaked, as he lifted my feet off the grassy ground, tickling my toes.

"How did you catch me?" I pouted, crossing my arms.

"I'll always catch my Shrimp," He replied, pushing my head under his chin, pressing his lips to mine. My Shrimp. I smiled into the kiss, wrapping my slender arms around his neck from below him.

"I love you, Gajeel. So much," I breathed, pulling away and looking at his eyes from my upside-down point of view. He smiled a genuine smile. Something, I almost never got to see. He planted, small kisses all over my face, raising me closer to him.

"Yer my life, Levy."

Levy. It was still new to me, being called by my actual name by him. He only used it on rare occasions, such as this very one.

"Ahhhhh!" I screamed, feeling a sharp pain the middle of my stomach. I looked down, to see a knife, sticking out of my bleeding stomach.

"G-G-Gajeel?" I stuttered, as he placed me on the forest ground. He laughed, an evil laugh that sent shivers down my spine.

"Did ya really think I loved ya? Ya sure are as stupid as yer mother said you were," He spat, grinning, evilly. I felt my heart break into a thousand pieces. He didn't....... love me? He turned on his heel, walking away.

"G-Gajeel!! Wait! P-Please stop!!" I cried, crawling on the ground like some sort of insect. I felt blood, rushing out of my wound. Every movement I made, brought me more and more pain.

"Gajeel........" I whispered, as my eyelids, began to close.

"Gajeel!!" I yelled, sitting up straight. My breathing was heavy, as I looked around the room. No trees, no blood, no Gajeel walking away. I put my hand on my stomach, feeling no knife.

"Shrimp?" A gruff voice asked as I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Gajeel!!" I cried, turning around and throwing myself on him, hugging him tightly. I felt the needle in my hand start to wiggle around, but I honestly didn't care.

"What's this for?" He asked, pulling away to meet my, watery, eyes.

"O-Oh, it was just a dream," I shakily replied, wiping a tear.

"Ya kept sayin' my name in yer sleep....." He mumbled, making a blush appear on my face. Did I talk in my sleep?

"T-That would make s-sense...... you were i-in the dream,"

"I was?" He asked, smirking.

"Not like that!!" I snapped, slapping his arm. He chuckled, his crimson eyes filled with an emotion I couldn't quite read.

"You were actually um....... never mind," I scratched the back of my neck, not wanting to make eye contact with him. What did he mean when he said I was stupid like my mother said? I gasped, putting two and two together. He was working for my mother......

"Do you know my mother?" I asked, biting my lip slightly.

"Never met her," He grumbled, shaking his head. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, feeling my back slouch a bit.

"Do ya want somethin' to eat?" He asked, looking up at the clock that ticked above the doorframe.

"Ya wouldn't want that pretty little brain of yer's to stop workin' now would ya?" He asked, placing the back of his hand on my forehead. I blushed, looking down at the floor.

"F-Food sounds n-nice....." I mumbled, not looking up at him.

"Alright, Shorty," He laughed, jumping up from the bed and leaving the room. I looked around the blank room, finding nothing to even look at. Hospital rooms were always so bland and sorrowful, it made me wonder why.

When patients are supposed to feel better, why stick them in a room that just adds to their sadness? I sighed, stopping myself from going any further with the argument I was having with myself. I looked at the door, hearing the clicking of heels in the hallway.

"Aunt Jade?" I asked, staring at my mom's sister in the door frame. She had navy blue hair that was trapped in a tight bun. Her outfit consisted of a white shirt, simple gray vest, and black tights with a mini skirt above.

"Hello, Levy." She hissed, stopping right in front of my bed.

"It's been a while, hasn't it?" She asked, raising a thin eyebrow.

"I-It has......" I murmured, feeling trapped in her gaze. I hadn't seen her in about two years. Since the very beginning I never felt comfortable around her, I never really knew why.

"So, you're in the hospital now, huh?"

"Y-Yeah......."

She grabbed the collar of my gown, causing me to yelp and go towards her.

"If you say anything about your mother, you won't be able to go the hospital. You'll be dead." She barked, gripping my gown tighter. I felt my heart beating out of my chest. I thought the abuse was over........

"Do you understand?"

I didn't process her words. The fear that was racing through me was too distracting. I felt a sharp pain in my cheek, as I realized she slapped me.

"I said, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?"

"Y-Y-Yes!!" I squeaked, tears, falling out my eyes.

"What the hell is going on here?" Gajeel boomed, stepping side the room. Jade smirked, before letting my collar go, making me plop back onto the bed.

"Oh, nothing." She whistled, acting like nothing just happened.

"It ain't nothin' if it made her cry," Gajeel growled, glaring at Jade.

"Let's just say, it's nothing concerning you."

I just stared as she left the room. My heartbeat, as fast as ever.
