I think I'm just going to do it in Lily's POV from now on :) anyway on with the story.

Today was Friday, in fact it was Friday evening, I was due to grace Professor Umbridge with my presence in an hour. Earlier today seamus approached me and apologised, not sure if he meant it completely but he tried and I was grateful for that.

I was sitting in the common room on the red sofa by the fire, just reading what else is new.

"Lily?" A women's voice called, I recognised it.

I turned around and saw no one, everyone was in the great hall eating, I told them all to go as I had detention soon and would just eat later. I folded the page in my book and put it down. I got up to investigate I defiantly heard a voice. I looked up to the dorms but yet saw no one. That was when I turned around and Professor Mcgonagall was standing by the door.

"Professor, you startled me" I spoke a little shocked that she was in the common room.

"I do apologise Miss Potter, I merely came to see how you were coping, your first year at Hogwarts, coming in just as O.W.Ls start." She was saying words which could be seen as misleading, i knew she was beating around the bush but alas I played her game.

"Oh I'm fine professor, really. I still learnt about magic from a young age thanks to Sirius allowing me to stay with the squabs."

"Ah that is true, you also seem to have inherited your mothers brains... And your fathers knack for trouble." She raised an eyebrow at that last bit.

"Me? Pranking?" I laughed.

"You know what I mean Lily" she smiled. Don't think your actions on the train didn't catch my attention, or your potions lesson with Mr Malfoy. Or even your, how shall I put it, discussion with Professor Umbridge." Ahh so that's what she wanted to talk about, I new she was trying to ease it into conversation.

"Ah you heard about that Professor?"

"I did, Lily you need to keep your head down, your words were wise but they cannot sway Dolores's views on Voldemort."

"I know Professor but people need to know."

"Find another way to tell them than causing yourself pain Lily."

"what pain?" I asked

"I've heard that Professor Umbridge believes in medieval methods, this is only a rumour I heard in the corridor though. You landed yourself a detention and I cannot intervene. Don't earn yourself anymore, please."

"Better me be hurt than many others." I said, I would rather it be me.

"Just like your brother and parents, so selfless, your life is worth much more than you think. Come I'll escort you down."

With that I walked with Mcgonagall to Umbridge's office.

"Tell me if the rumour is correct won't you".

"Yes" I told her but I knew I wouldn't though, she seemed worried enough having Umbridge here.

Harry had got himself a detention which was meant to be today, he threw a book in class but after I told Umbridge it was me. I earned myself an extra couple hours into my original detention. I must not let this year go on the same way it did before. I must change it.

I walk into the pink room, I imagine that this is worse than Voldemort's lair, at least his probably wouldn't make me feel sick.

"Ah Lily, come I wish for you to write lines."

She handed me a quill and told be to write those famous lines I had seen on someone else's hands once before.

I wrote continuously for eight hours. "I must not tell lies"

I stumbled out of her office after loosing quite a bit of blood towards Gryffindor common room at 3.00am.

Bit of a plot twist for you there, again sorry once again for the lack of updates but I hope I have made up for that with these two chapters. I will update this week again. That is a promise.
