The cold breeze blew threw the Gryffindor girls dorm room causing all curtains to billow in the wind.

"Lily, close the window." Hermione moaned at me, it isn't that early. It's 6.00am why is she so cranky.

"Do it yourself miss cranky, gosh! Am I the only morning person around here! I said with a touch of sarcasm. I walked towards the window and shut it with a bit to much force causing the window to make a large bang.

"Yes now shut up!" Lavender screamed. She threw a pillow at me and used her other to cover her ears. Paviarti just looked at me and smirked before going back under the covers.

"Fine, I'll go downstairs. Come down when you want Hermione see how I care." I said before running down the stairs. I had already been dressed and read for about and hour.

I walked into the common room and sat by the fire on the floor. Gosh I was cold. Think I'm getting a cold. I curled up on the rug and decided to read for a bit.

I started to read a book on the dark arts, I found it in the restricted section. People say you should not read books on the dark arts because they are dangerous. However how can you fight what you have no knowledge about?

I heard someone walking down the stairs and thought it was Hermione. I shifted my body so if it was her she wouldn't be able to see my face.

"Hey Lils"

Oh it was Harry, I close my book and turn around. "Hey Harry" I said threw a bunged up nose.

"You sound bad lil"

"Hm, Thank you for making me more self conscience." I said with as much sarcasm as I could muster. I swear one of these days I am going to be so sarcastic to the wrong person and get in so much trouble.

"Hermione said she wants me to start some defence group, you wouldn't happen to know anything about this?" Harry questioned agitatedly.

Okay I kind of knew something about it but... I don't like to share my sources mmm lets come up with a quick lie shall we.

"No sorry, I heard from Seamus that he is meeting a group with Hermione in Hogsmeade, might be the same group." Harry raised his eyebrow at me.

"Okay I was eavesdropping" I said trying to make my lie more believable. This seemed to ease his suspicions as he tutted and walked away.

Hogsmeade---- can't be bothered to right completely what happened but you get the idea, dumbledores army is formed, Yada Yada Yada. I shall summarise it. :)

Hermione had gathered her 'small group' of people she thought were trustworthy. She literally invited the whole school minus the Slytherins and a few individuals that were likely to crack at Umbridge's questioning. Harry didn't really want to go along with what Hermione had set up but he could see the benefits.

Once everyone had signed the form and thanked Harry for sharing what happened last year we all headed back towards Hogwarts.

"It's kind of exciting isn't it! Breaking the rules!" Hermione sung excitedly.

Ron looked flabbergasted by her change of heart " who are you and what have you done with Hermione Granger?" I snorted at this remark and Hermione scoffed.

The chosen place for Dumbledores Army to meet was the room of requirement otherwise known as the come and go room. Dobby the house elf has recommended it to Harry a couple of nights ago.

"Think of the happiest moment in your life, it has to be a powerful memory or thought to create a figured patronus charm." Harry said while demonstrating. A familiar large stag emerged from the tip of Harrys wand and pranced around the room before disappearing.

A wave of clapping emerged from the room as everyone started practicing and congratulating Harry on his teaching skills. I turned around to see Neville standing in the corner looking at his wand with sadness.

"You okay Neville? You look a little down." I said, I really felt for Neville. He was a lovely kind caring person, he tried so hard but never seemed to grasp magic easily.

"Yeah it's just-"

"Not everyone can cast a patrounus Neville, some of the greatest witches and wizards in the world can not cast them. Don't feel down it took me weeks to grasp it. I looked up at him and he had a small smile on his lips. "Come on Neville I'll help you, what memory were you thinking of?"

He shuffled his weight and looked at me awkwardly. "Um when gran gave me dads wand".

The look in his eyes was filled with regret however a sense of pride. "It's a good memory Neville but I'm not sure it's strong enough. Maybe if you can remember a time with your parents or a dream you had about them maybe." I suggested.

"Okay I'll give it a go, I'll try and think of the perfect memory." He said with determination.

I smiled at him " good, show me next lesson okay?"

"Yeah, thanks Lily". I shrugged the complement of and smiled at him.

I walked away and glanced at Harry, he was starting to end the lesson.

"Well done everyone I hope you learn something today and we will meet the same time next week."
