Hogwarts Express

The remainder of the summer was rather quiet. Harry explained to lily about the Dursleys and his years at Hogwarts. Lily however remained secluded, she enjoyed learning about Harrys past but hers was nothing extravagant. All she could talk about was reading and learning. As her carers were squabs they weren't completely cut of from the magical world. This enabled them to get lily books so she could be well educated.

Harry POV (day before Hogwarts)

"I'm telling you, you are going to get along well with Hermione" I said trying to comfort her. "Hogwarts is great, you'll love it".

"Yeah, maybe Hermione won't drag us down to the library every five minutes, she can just take you". Ron started to laugh hysterically at his own joke. That was until Hermione walked in the kitchen with her jaw raised.

She heard.

She slowly walked up to Ron. Book in hand, and hit him round the face.

I laughed "good one" she turned to me and cracked a small smile.

"Lily, want to come with me I was about to go over my potions book"

I saw Lily's face light up, she loved potions.

"Yes!".

"See someone doesn't think I'm boring"

The two girls exited the room arms over each other's shoulder. I turned to Ron who was already starting to talk about a rant he had earlier on in the day with Fred and George.

"I bet they stole the money, who would just go and give them so much money."

"Hmmm I don't know". I was starting to get tired of Ron talking about this, I gave them the money but I would never admit that to him.

"Hey Ron I'm just going to talk to Sirius alright."

"Yeah alright mate".

I walked up the stairs towards Sirius's room, I knocked on the dark mahogany door which echoed through the whole house.

"Come in" Sirius said beyond the door in a jolly sing-song tone.

I walked in closing the door behind me.

"Sirius"

"Yeah"

"What if my dreams are real, it's always the same dream in the ministry, I haven't even been there so how do I know what it looks like?"

Sirius put his book down and stood up, he came over to be and gave me a comforting hug.

"Listen Harry I don't know, I'm going to talk to Dumbledore but I really don't know. There's a war coming and you being you are going to be caught in the middle of it."

Sirius reached into his pocket and pulled out a photo that was starting to yellow with age. The photo presented the original order including my parents.

"Keep it" I was hesitant but Sirius wouldnt say it if he didn't mean it.

"Your never alone Harry, remember that."

"I know, I have you." I started heading towards the door, just before exiting the room Sirius spoke once more."

"Oh and Harry."

"Yeah."

"Look after your sister"

"Will do"

"And no funny business with girls alright, I don't wanna have to give you the talk, I'll set Remus on you." Sirius winked and smiled playfully.

"Yeah, yeah haha"

The following day...

Lily POV

We had just boarded the train, me Harry, Ron and Hermione had just got into a compartment when a pale boy with bleach blond hair slid the complement door open.

"Oh hey potter got yourself a girlfriend" Harry looked at me and I looked at him, we her both trying to contain are laughter.

"Na just a sister"

"Yeah whatever potter." He locked eyes with me, looking me up and down. "what's your name good looking."

No POV

Lily got up from her chair, she whipped her wand out from her robe pocket and pointed it beneath Malfoys chin.

"Call me that again, I dare you. I don't think you want to test me". She threatened through gritted teeth. typical Malfoy. He gulped. Lily realised that this was going to get her no where. She certainly didn't want to get herself a bad reputation on the first day. She lowered her wand and started to head back towards her seat.

" all teeth but no bite, you probably don't know a single spell, all the same these mudblo-"

"FLIPENDO!" With a swish of her wand Malfoy flew into the window behind him, Thus crashing to the floor. Lily walked up to Malfoy with a smug look.

"Funny enough I'm half-blood, get your facts straight Malfoy"

"My father will hear about this." He said with pure venom. He looked at her and slowly got up from the floor, he started walking towards the other side of the carriage.

"Oh and Malfoy, the names Lily Potter, it's nice to meet you" and with that she turned and slammed the compartment door shut.

To say the compartments occupants were stunned would be a complete understatement.

"That was bloody brilliant, not only are you a nerd but your freckin brave too!" Ron laughed.

"Sirius told me to keep an eye on you and you've already got yourself an enemy, well I suppose your surname being potter already made you two enemies anyway."

Hermione was shocked but did not scold her as she would Harry and Ron. "Good one, I've wanted to do that since first year." she muttered with a smile.
