Before Ellen left the house, she asked her mum about the man at the door yesterday. Her mum hesitated and then claimed that it was her 'solicitor or something', but Ellen didn't believe that wild lie. All her my said after that was that she would have a great live, which Ellen thought was strange. Ellen left the house on her own, walking the usual way to her school. She passed the graveyard and felt like a ghost had stepped through her body. She stopped at Cleo's road and waited. She normally did this. But today, she was waiting, and waiting, and....waiting. She waited at least half an hour until Cleo came. She didn't say anything to her, even though Cleo said she was sorry. They walked again in silence for the second time that week. They walked through the huge school gates and noticed one of the dinner-ladies walking into the head-teachers office. Maybe she's being sacked, who knows? A lot of teachers have gone recently. There is a teacher shortage. Like Mrs Shelley being sacked. She hasn't been replaced yet. The bell went and Ellen and Cleo ran inside after the other students. The head teacher, Mrs Kelly, was teaching them that morning. Maths was boring, just Jonah putting his hand up and down so fast it looked like his hand was constantly up in the air. He got all the answers right, obviously. The Caretaker came in and whispered something in Mrs Kelly's ear. Ellen was getting severely worried now, all this strange behaviour going on in the school today, but it was probably nothing.

"Cleo!" Ellen whispered to her friend, "Don't you think there's something strange going on with the teachers today. Not just the teachers, but all the members of staff!"

Cleo shook her head, scared of speaking in case she got told off. As the caretaker walked out of the room, he had his eyes pinned on Ellen. Her heart was racing, so she put her hand up, saying she felt sick and needed to go to the toilet. Mrs Kelly was fine with it, even though she seemed slightly suspicious. So did Karina Frost, as she was making evils at Ellen on the way out. Karina was now accusing Ellen of throwing that chair at her, even though she knew it wasn't true and everybody else did. Karina even saw Mrs Shelley throwing the chair, so Ellen thought that was extremely unfair of her. Ellen stood up and walked to the door, skipped through it and down the corridor, turned left into the girl's toilets and vomited in the sink. She cleaned herself up and leaned back against the wall, her head facing up. She saw something up there, on the ceiling. It was a...a, a thing, a creature, a monster on the ceiling, just sitting there. Ellen put her hand over her mouth to stop herself screaming. She didn't know what the slimy, green thing above her was, but she knew it wasn't human. She slowly backed away, still staring at the creature, and ran out of the toilets. She followed a girl in her class, Rosalinda Hill, down a corridor and into the hall. She bumped into Rosalinda and saw all of the teachers eating the students. It was a sickening sight, truly sickening. Some of the staff had transformed into a replica of the creature that Ellen had encountered in the toilets. Ellen thought she ought to ring the police, but they wouldn't do anything about aliens. What about the army? No, these children need a doctor. Jonah, who had just walked in, started hyperventilating after he saw the terrifying sight of carnivorous activity. Ellen put him under the table to calm him down, and so no one would notice him. Rosalinda started screaming, obviously traumatized. Ellen pulled her back, and they hid in a closet.

"What's going on?" Rosalinda whispered angrily.

"I don't know, but we need to get some help, and fast!" Ellen replied, tears streaming down her face.

"Shouldn't we ring the police? No, that's too dangerous! Erm, well I'll go around the school and tell everyone to go home, they can't stay here! You go and get help, then come back here and meet me!" Rosalinda was very good at organizing, but she was very worried in this situation. There was an actual alien invasion in her school!

Rosie ran off, and Ellen walked out the school, as cool as a cucumber, even though she was dying inside. She ran out the school gates and noticed a strange sort of car on the path down a side road. It seemed rather peculiar. She desperately looked round for people she could ask for help. She started twisting her fingers anxiously again. She starred crying. And then she stopped. A familiar man stepped out the car and ran right up to Ellen.

"Hello. I've come to help you!"
