The Quest For The Last Seven Humans

Lily, Tadzi, Ellen, Rosalinda, Betty and Gina crawled, wriggled and ran through the narrow underground tunnels on the quest for The Last Seven Humans.

"Who are these people anyway?" Betty yelled to Lily at the front, while trying to detach herself from a strange purple plant.

"Names. Patricia, Bob, Evelyn, Harris, Patrick, Robert and Janice. Basically, on our planet Dojkol, they were a sort of council, or government, or maybe even a total family, if you like," Lily told the gang, "Well, they were a family, in a funny kind of way. They looked after the planet, told us what to do. They knew everyone individually! They were always there for us. We really need to rescue them. Well, thats if they're alive, anyway!" Lily looked away mournfully.

"Of course they'll be alive, Lily!!" Rosalinda shouted from the back, yet trying to be empathetic with her.

"It was 527 years ago Rosalinda, remember?!" Betty told her.

"But our race, the Dojkolanites, have an average life span of 892!" Lily said enthusiastically.

"So that means they all must still be alive!" Tadzi chirped gleefully.

"Exactly," Lily continued, "They must be around here somewhere. Hey guys, let's check down this tunnel!"

All of them, apart from Betty, ran down the muddy corridor, with Betty limping on behind them. They had discovered a metal wall with a door, and the metal was almost melded into the wall. It looked like an entrance to an underground scientific space station for researching other people and planets. Or something.

"Check the door then!" Ellen whispered eagerly.

No one stepped forward to try the door, they were so nervous. They all just stood there awkwardly for a couple of minutes. Eventually, Betty pushed her way through all of them and strode straight up to the door.

"You're all a bunch of nutters and wimps! I'm the only sane one here!" Betty sighed as she took a deep breath, turned the handle and pushed forward. Nothing happened. The door just wouldn't budge.

Then Gina stood forward to have a go. She couldn't open the door either. They all tried. Tadzi, Ellen and Rosalinda. Obviously Lily couldn't try because she was an entity, like a ghost, so she couldn't really open the door. She couldn't even walk through the wall. Her system had malfunctioned or something.

"Can't you use magic for this type of thing, Betty?" Tadzi asked the elderly woman.

"I don't know," she replied sadly, "there might just be a spell. But I'll have to check! Now, this is very special. My Harold made it for me."

She got her little notebook out and started flipping the pages rapidly. She was searching frantically through every chapter:
