Chapter Four (Part One)

My alarm sounded and I groaned, pulling the blankets over my head, like it would silence the screeching of the phone. I rolled over and grabbed my phone from the other side of the bed trying to silence it before making myself get up for the exam. It was my science exam and I saw all the papers strewn across the messy sheets of my bed. 

I stumbled around my room, stubbing my toe on more than one occasion, before finally finding my year 12 hoodie and a good pair of jeans to wear. I pulled my waist-length red hair into a ponytail and picked up my school bag while racing into the kitchen. My sister and brother had already left for school, so the morning was quiet as the sun peeped in through the windows down-stairs. I grabbed a drink of water and the money off the bench before running out the door and into my car. I was going to be late!!

I pushed my music up pretty loud to get myself motivated before sitting in a cold room for 2 hours. It happened to be 5 Seconds Of Summer and One Direction blasting through the speakers. Yes, I listen to them. Yes, I like them, get over it. 

Tanya jumped in the car as I pulled up quickly at her house. "What did you do? Sleep in?" She giggled, I scoffed, before blushing and looking at her "Yep. Pretty much." I said popping the p. She turned the music up a little before I shifted the car back into the road easily. 

As soon as I pulled up at the school, Tanya and I jumped out of the car and ran to the front of the school. Everyone saw us running in and started laughing. They never see us running, just so you know. 

There wasn't that many people there so it was quieter and colder than normal. I shivered in my seat as I read through the exam, looking at it worridly. I danced in my seat before they said we could begin, and my heart jumped as everyone picked up the pencil. I looked down at the questions and then up at the time we had to complete it. It was only Biology for me, so it was all pretty simple, and I had been paying attention in all of the classes I was in during my years at high school.

They called out time and I breathed a sigh of relief, as did everyone else in the room. This was our last exam, now, we are free. I had flown through the exam in the first half an hour, and the half hour after that, I was fixing up my answers to make them sound more intellectual and actually answer them correctly. I knew I wasn't going to get 100% but I tried. And finally, for the last hour I sat there, remembering songs I played during the car ride, and singing them over and over in my head. I almost fell asleep again, but I pulled myself out of the reverie when I saw the teachers looking at me. 

We all stood up, and left our exams on the tables before walking out of the cold room for the last time. Tanya jumped on me as soon as we got out of the room, and we grinned at each other. 

"We're done." 

I smiled back at her and we started dancing, walking to the car. 

"What do you want to do now? We could go get food? And stay up all night, watching movies. No studying!" 

She giggled at me and winked "You and your food." 

I just shrugged "Yeah, what of it? You love it just as much as I do."

She nodded "Well. We should go see your mum first."

"I know, I know. We were going to do that anyway." 

We were just about to pull out when I saw Jasmine standing in front of the car. I squealed and ran over to her. Picking her up and spinning her around. 

She was just overseas finishing off her practical part of her beauty course. She is a year older than us so she would be going to Uni while we go travelling. She started this year though, basically straight after she finished exams. When we were younger and I started YouTube videos, her and I would do mock make up tutorials, when she was actually really good. She was the third person in our YouTube thing, so Tanya knew her pretty well too.
