I sigh as we all arrived in our pajamas at Shelby's house. Before I could even knock, the door swung wide open and there stood Shelby, leaning against the doorway, looking all....suggestive?
"Hey," she says in a deep voice, smiling a little bit. I feel Mark shove me behind him before I could say another word.
"We need to talk," he growls. I blink, surprised by Mark's change in attitude. Shelby sighs.
"What do you want Mark?" Shelby asks, standing up straight as she saw the rest of them behind us.
"Where were you last night?" Mark asks. Shelby rolls her eyes.
"I was out with a few of my friends, why?"
"Wrong!" Mark says. If I could see his eyes, I knew that they would be flashing with anger. "Try again."
"I was out with my friends!" She insists, her eyes widening as she tries to convince Mark. I was just confused as the rest.
"Mark what does that have to do with-" he gestures for me to be quiet. I sigh glancing at Eden. She glances back, shrugging.
"No. You. Were. Not." He growls. "You were out in the woods, supposedly meeting a 'friend' and let me also tell you that your 'friend' may or may not have gave you a slip of paper to give to a certain someone, did they not?" I watch as Shelby's face pales a little bit. Finally, she sighs, reaching into her pocket and pulls out the slip of paper. I stare at her.
"So you... Were behind the disappearance of.." Tears threaten to spill. Mark must've sensed something because he looks at me.
"No... She is innocent Jack. She's just a poor lad who was told to deliver a message," Mark's hand lays outstretched as Shelby silently lays the folded piece of paper in his hand.
"I don't know what's going on.... But keep me out of it," she says before slamming the door in our faces. Cassidy sighs.
"How'd you know Mark?" He ignores her, opening the note up.
"Yeah Mark, how'd you know she has a note?" Alika says, biting her nails impatiently.
"Lady Celeste told me.." He mutters, handing the note to me. "And this is nothing but gibberish!" I gently grab it and glanced down.

I sigh, stuffing it in my pocket. Yet another clue that is meaningless and stupid.
"So what do we do now?" Eden asks. Mark looks me dead in the eye.
"I have an idea of where we can go, but I don't think she'll approve of you guys.."
"Who?" Felix asks. Dan, getting what was going on, blurts out.
"Shannon..." I eye Mark suspiciously.
"Who's Shannon?"
"Just a family member..." I narrow my eyes. He sighs. "Lady Celeste's sister. I feel like Lady Celeste is hiding something from me." I sigh.
"Where does she leave?"
"Near Lady Celeste. It's a day and a half travel on foot." I sigh again.
"I guess we will need to pack right away."
