I walk over to the small mirror on my wall and admire my choices. I'm wearing a pair of white wedges that make me look taller than I am, and my light blue dress rests loosely by my knees and sticks tightly to my chest. I think something is missing so I throw a denim jacket over top of the sleeveless dress and go to walk out the door. As I walk into the hall, Gale does too. We stare at each other for a second before speaking.
"Nice outfit." He says with a smile. I admire his choices of clothing. His faded jeans have rips and his light blue shirt is tight enough to show off his muscles. I find myself staring for too long.
"Oh. Um, thank you." I say gripping my hands in front of me. "You look nice too." He smiles and we walk down the hall to the exit doors.

As they swing in, the crowd pushes against the peacekeepers assigned to make a path for us. They lead the way to the training center which is tall enough to get lost in the clouds.

I look at Gale and smile. He smiles back and lifts his chin up higher. I do the same as we walk towards our death.
