Rudy’s POV

When I left her dorm I found Nathaniel welcoming me into his…well to be honest I jogged over and kind of forced myself in. He was with Mia and it was obvious that they did not wanting company right now. I apologized for bursting in and explained that I just needed to vent. Mia sweetly took me in and made me spill all that happened.

She told me not to worry and that Nathaniel was going to fix everything. I laughed to myself at the thought of it. The glare Mia gave Nathaniel, or who she now calls her ‘Nate’, when he said he would do no such thing was priceless. Nathaniel excused himself and came back about half an hour later.

“She won’t budge.” He said closing the door and throwing off his jacket.

“Great.” I mumbled. Mia gave Nathaniel a death glare and then before putting one arm over me and patting my shoulder.

“Don’t worry Rudy. She will come around, I know my little Evelyn.” Mia said trying to assure me that everything was going to be okay.

I stayed silent and didn’t add anything to what she said. I just placed my head in my hands and tried to clear my thoughts but nothing seemed to be working. I got up and made my decision.

“Thanks for letting me stay here today and bug you two.” I told Nathaniel but I looked at Mia and smiled. She was honestly the one who persisted that I would stay.

“Anytime Rudy, keep me updated.” Mia hugged me goodbye and I left.

There was only one thing to do, I know how stubborn I could be, and maybe I let my anger get the best of me. But I shouldn’t do that and then expect her to come into my arms. I mean come on; she was as stubborn as I was, sometimes even more. I should have known better. So, my feet led me none other than to her place.

I knocked on the dorms door and waited patiently. It took about three more knocks before she finally opened the door. She looked up to me and her eyes widened. She didn’t say anything though and just stood there. Leaning on the door frame she bit her bottom lip and stayed standing there. I sighed and looked at her. I hated when she but her lip. Don’t get me wrong, she is so adorable when she does it…but it usually means that she is holding back what she wants to say.

“I didn’t mean it.” I started the conversation running my fingers through my hair. She looked up at me and met my eyes. Her big brown eyes were so hard not to resist. I had to fight back the urge to just grab her right then and there and kiss her.

“Angry people speak the truth.” She said not dropping her gaze.

“That’s not true, drunk people may…but angry people say anything to get the other person in front of the upset.” I informed her. She sighed and looked down to the floor biting her lip again.  I took her hand in mine for a couple seconds, before she hesitantly pulled away.

“Evelyn, how long are we going to stay like this?” I asked her tired of us arguing.

“Why not forever?” she asked meeting my eyes again.

“Don’t say that, I could never live without you.” I told her, I felt really hurt inside.

“Rudy lets’ not play that romance junk. I know you can find another girl, you already found Vee. She seems perfect for you.” How could she be saying these words? I couldn’t stand hearing them come out of her mouth.
