The day was july 6th the year 777 little did I know that the next day something life changing would happen...

Your POV

I woke up, delirious from the dream I was having. Today was the aniversary of the day I met my dragon. Her name is Windseeker, she's the sister of the sky dragon Grandina and had adopted me after a group of people came into the village and started kidnapping all the children. She saved my life. I spaced out remembering exactly what happened.

Flashback

The sight was horrible, fire was everywhere, burning everything in it's path. My house was now an unrecognizable pile of ashes. I was only a little kid, having to run for my life. They took my sister, they killed my parents and burned down my village as I ran away as fast as my little legs could take me.

The darkness of the night gave little to no visibility, I kept running until I was in the Forest. I could feel the leaves,rocks, and branches under my feet, scratching at my arms. Suddenly I bumped into something, I looked up saw a big dragon. They were as white as snow and had what looked like the softest scales, they had sky blue eyes and looked so majestic that if you look up that word in the dictionary I bet theres a picture of them right next to it, then they spoke in a big booming voice.

"WHO GOES THERE" the sound echoed loudly and I covered my ears, surprised at the loud volume.

"M-My Name is Y/n Marvell M-Ma'am". She looked at me and spoke in a softer, more caring tone, but still very intimidating.

"Why are you shaking child? Theres no need to be afraid. I wont hurt you." I smiled at her words, but it quickly faded as I heard approaching footsteps and people speaking.

"I think I saw her go this way sir!"

"Look footprints!"

"Follow them!"

I looked back then at the dragon in a panic. "Please help me!" I said with pleading eyes.

"Hop on child" she said, lowering her wing so I could climb on. I slowly got on and held on tightly. Suddenly I felt her crouch, and in a quick moment we were up in the air. I couldn't help but gasp out in amazement, laughter soon followed. My eyes went heavy and soon I slid into a deep slumber, exhausted from what had just happened.

Eventually I woke up in a cave with jewels decorating walls, it was sparkling and I looked at them in awe.

"Pretty!" I said walking towards them, running my finger across the soft walls and the jewels. But there was one that particularly stood out to me. It was a heart shaped jewel and it was a bright f/c. I thought it looked beautiful. I then turned around and saw the dragon from before.

"I see you like that jewel child, would you like it?" She said, her voice much lower than before. My eyes went wide in amazement.

"R-Really? You mean it I can have it?" She smiled at me.. Sorta more like her version of a smile.

"Of course child" She replied kindly, I hugged her. Finally feeling safe.

"thank you... mommy" Then I drifted to sleep.
