A part of me thinks I should've expected this because Cass is.... well, she's Cass.
She decided to tell me that she started dating Grayson and he's been here two weeks so that means that three weeks ago she didn't even mention them.
"Tay he isn't what you think he is. Grayson's a great guy!" Is what she's been telling me for the past half hour
"I'm just stating my opinion" I say simply
Obviously her being with Grayson isn't ideal but again she's my friend so I'll try not to judge.
She pouts. "But your opinion matters you're my Bestfriend!"
"We'll do what you want I just don't think it will turn out ok" I say scrolling through my feed
"Thank you now I need help picking out my outfit for my date" she starts looking through her closet
Cass' closet is huge which means she has a huge amount of clothes. She's very into fashion and says that looking great sets a good first impression so I just go along with it.
"Where is he taking you?" I ask trying to find the easy way out of this
"He said that we are going to this Italian place that has a killer baked ziti and you know how I love me some ziti" she giggles with a slight blush on her cheeks
It takes a lot for me not to 'aw' but I succeed. But maybe them dating won't be too bad.
Cass turns around suddenly turning serious but still looking nervous for some reason.
"So here's the thing" she fiddles with her fingers and I groan
She points a finger at me. "Hey you don't even know what I was going to say!"
I wish I didn't have an idea on what she's going to say.
"Ok so Gray and I were wondering if you could double date with us" she looks at me very hopeful
Unfortunately I don't think my date will be a random person.
"Now I know you don't like him but please for me go with Ethan. My mom said she wouldn't let me go unless you went because you know how it is everyone gets their parents approval to go somewhere as long as you're there" she begs
Not only do I not want to go but my mom is a pain with these things and I don't know if I'll be able to go.
"You know how my mom is so don't be disappointed if she says no" I say before I walk out of her room so I could talk to my mom
The phone rings for a little while before I here my mom say hello on the other line.
"Hi mom I have a question, so Cass is going out with someone and her mom won't let her go unless I double date with her" I say cautiously
I hear papers being moved around.
"Uh well you know how I feel about you and boys, do nothing I wouldn't go out and do. You are a civilized young lady and I think you will be able to come back home without a positive pregnancy test"
And this folks is my mother for you.
"So yes you can go" she continues. "Make sure you don't get home later than eleven . I'm heading to the office now and I'll be there quite a while but remember no later than eleven. I've got to go, work is waiting" I hang up and walk back to Cass
Once I go in she runs up to me. "What did she say?!" She asks shaking me
"She said yes now stop it" I chuckle
"Remember that you owe me one" I say grinning widely as Cass' shoulders fall
