"Jesus Adams Foster!" I woke up to Mom yelling my name. I felt Emma's back pressed against my chest and my arms were wrapped around her waist. I tried to stand up but rolled off the couch and hit the floor.
"Ow!" I said rubbing my head. Emma woke up when I hit the floor and I looked up at her sitting on the couch with a confused look on her face.
"Oh my god! We fell asleep!" She realised looking down at me. "I am so sorry Mrs. Foster. I just came over last night to talk to Jesus and-" I cut Emma off.
"Nothing happened. We were just talking and fell asleep." I finished explaining.
"Emma why did you come here so late last night?" Mom asked. I got off the floor and sat next to Emma on the couch. She shifted closer to me so our knees were touching slightly and shifted her eyes to the ground.
"Mom, Emma was upset so we talked for a while. We didn't do anything wrong." I jumped in before Emma got a chance to answer.
"Ok. Right now you have to get ready for school so we'll talk about this later. Emma would you like to stay for breakfast?" Mom asked her.
"Sure. That would be great thank you Mrs. Foster." Emma replied smiling.
"Stef is fine." Mom said walking into the kitchen. I turned to Emma and smiled softly.
"So about last night.." I began before Emma cut me off.
"Yeah it was a bit intense. I'm sorry for just showing up all upset and everything." She said looking at me.
"It's okay. I'm always here for you. I just want you to know that what I said last night... about being in love with you." I paused to check she was really listening. She nodded for me to continue but she looked worried. "I meant it." When I looked at her this time she let out a breath of relief.
"I meant it too. I'm so in love with you." She said.
"I'm so in love with you too." I replied before leaning closer to her and pressing my lips against hers. Her arms slipped around my neck and I pulled her waist towards me.
"Emma!" We broke apart at the sound of Mariana coming down the stairs and seeing that Emma was here. "So you guys are back on. What are you doing here this early?" Mariana asked before seeing our pyjamas and the blankets on the floor. "Oh, you guys hooked up." She said smirking. Emma blushed and jumped up from the couch. I stood up after her and we made our way to the bottom of the stairs where Mariana stood.
"No. We just talked and got back together and fell asleep." Emma told her.
"Ok. If you say so." Mariana replied throwing her hands up and turning to the kitchen. Emma and I exchanged a glance before following her and sitting down for breakfast.
