I lie on my bed, staring up at the ceiling. most of the repairs are done on the house, but the people within are still broken.

tomorrow mum and dad will sit with Hugo, all day and try their best to make him remember. they said it is the only way forward.

I had shuffled up to bed, teddy stopping me on the stairs.

"rose, are you alright?" he asked

I nodded quietly and thanked him for helping me.

he hugged me and walked down the stairs, his blue hair vanishing from view.

now as I lie here I don't think of Hugo or the battle.

I think of scorpius.

I think of what he said to his farther at his home.

he loves me.

I smile at the darkness looming over me. in 4 days we go back to Hogwarts - it fells so far away. to far away.

a snowy white owl soars through my open window making me jump from my bed. a letter is attached to its leg and a small package rests in its beak.

I lean over and untie the letter and parcel, patting the owl softly on the head.

I tear open the letter and recognise his scrawled writing instantly.

dear Rosie

I wish you hadn't gone so soon. is your brother ok? your dad looked really worried! I really hope he is ok and I'd  love you to write back to me.

I'm so sorry about my dad earlier, he was mad that I told you my secret.

it's ok I promise.

I can't wait to see you at Hogwarts, I miss you already

I fell a small tear roll down my cheek as I carefully open the package. it revels a small purple box. I slowly open the box and peer inside. a silver chain rests in a circle, at the end of the chain is a charm the size of my thumb nail. it's shaped like a snowflake and has really tiny details round the edge.

it's enchanted so it glimmers in the dark and is cold to the touch, just like real snow.

I grin and feel and warm glow in my chest, despite the cool metal of the charm.
