Thank you all for you (im)patience! ;) I may be trying something new, but we shall see how it goes. It probably won't mean more frequent updates of this story (but hopefully not 5 months between, either), but it could mean hearing from me more often.

Getting ready didn't take long, as Gabriel had me keep my suit on and threw a sundress over it. I put a little bit of makeup on this time after washing my face, wanting to feel a little freshened up after swimming for so long. Chlorinated skin does not feel fresh. Eugh.
I walk hand in hand with Sean and Kota as we go to wait for a bus to bring us to Downtown Disney. I could hear Gabriel chattering about all the things he wanted to do when we are there. It mostly involved spending money on material items.
I think he is forgetting that we're still going to get a whole day there, and I don't think whoever he is talking to is really listening, but the fact that they aren't telling him to zip it, spoke volumes. Meanie is happy. I know the others will love it there, too, as there's more than just shopping opportunities. There's food (duh, that's why we're going.) shows and other such entertainment.
Once we make it to the bus waiting area, we wait at the curb. Thankfully the bus is there within fifteen minutes, so we don't have to wait long in the Florida heat. Once on the bus, Kota pulls me into his lap and puts his arms around me like a seatbelt.
I turn so that I am sitting sideways and address him, "Do you know where we're eating, Kota?"
He gives me a sneaky smile and nods.
"Oh please tell me!" I beg. "I bet it's just wonderful. I bet they have the best food and the best service..." I trail off dreamily.
"Pookie," Sean says from beside me, "I think the standards are all the same from restaurant to restaurant, here. Employed by the same people. One big company...you know...the works." He winks at me, cheeky flirt that he is.
"Yes, Mister Smarty Pants," I tease with a roll of my eyes. He's right, though. I'd believe that expectations are high for guest experience everywhere at the parks.
"That's Doctor Smarty Pants, to you, missy" he says mock sternly, and I giggle.
"Trouble!" I turn to Gabriel in question. "I have a plan! We're going straight to a gift shop!"
I open my mouth to protest, but he keeps talking. "There's something I need to get there immediately. But then we can do whatever before dinner."
Okay, good. He understands. I think. It's better to not get my hopes up.
The bus ride lasts about ten minutes and we finally stop at the drop off point. We file off the bus, and we follow the signs leading us to our destination.
When I see the street lined with shops, restaurants, and people, I squeal a little. Okay. A lot. I don't know how, but even the shopping district feels like Disney! Disney really is a magical place.
"You know what?" I say. I get a couple questioning responses back. "I think I'd like to work here."
"Oh yeah? What would you want to do?" Victor asks.
I let out a heavy sigh. "Oh, I don't know! Everything!"
There are a couple chuckles and an "Of course!" and a "Shoulda guessed" and "She's not fucking Academy if she didn't!"
I blush a little at their exclamations. I think they're complimenting me...right? Yes. I believe so. It's just who I am. I just want to do everything! But since I can't do all of everything, I've got to do a little of everything. And I'm okay with that. It's hard to devote myself to one field. I know it disappoints the boys sometimes when I can't stay focused on their area for a long period of time, but I just get ideas for other things I want to do or learn. I always go back, though. The nine fields I'm best at are the ones that my boys like. I like sharing all of that with them. It's real bonding time.
