Hoseok groaned as he rolled out of bed. He felt anxious today, but he wasn't sure why.

As he walked downstairs, he began reading all of his unopened texts from Taehyung.

Taehyung : I'm excited for tomorrow. I haven't been to a party in a while

Taehyung : And don't worry, I'll make sure you don't get butt-raped ;)

Taehyung : Well I guess you've fallen asleep, so I'll see you tomorrow

Taehyung : Goodnight, Hobi! :)

Hoseok smiled to himself as he read the messages. He was glad to have Taehyung as a friend. He was always so nice and understanding and he even enjoyed the moments when they would just lay in bed together and talk.

Thump

Or that day at school when he began to cry and Taehyung held him in his arms and consoled him.

Thump

Hoseok shook his head. He needed to stop thinking like that. He's not ready for another relationship yet and even if he was, he wasn't sure if Taehyung was even his type.

Hoseok : Good morning, Tae

Taehyung : Morning, Hobi

Hoseok sighed, remembering that he had to go to a party with him later that night. He wasn't looking forward to it. At all. He'd much prefer to go to the studio and practice a dance he had to know for a test in his choreography class, but he was doing this for his best friend.

Hoseok : I don't want to go to that party tonight

Taehyung : Pls don't back out, Hobi :(

Hoseok : I'm not, I just rlly don't want to go. You'll probably end up leaving me alone so you can talk to other people

Taehyung : I'm offended that you think I'd do that

Hoseok : I just know you will

Taehyung : Wanna make a bet?

Hoseok : ...

Taehyung : If I stick by your side for the whole night, then you have to give me a kiss, but if I don't then...I'll buy you lots of food :)

Hoseok : ...It's a bet

Taehyung : Okay, I'll see you tonight, Hobi :)

Hoseok laughed quietly and set his phone down. Maybe Taehyung will actually stay by his side tonight, at least, that's what he hoped. When around close friends, Hoseok was bubbly and energetic, but around people he doesn't know, he just wishes he had a shell to hide in.

Hoseok looked out of the car window at the large, modern home. Beer cans and scraps of food littered the yard, music so loud you could hear it down the street, and lights beaming out of the windows. His heart began to beat just a little faster at the thought of actually having to go in there. His anxiety beginning to get the best of him, he looked at Taehyung and frowned, "Tae...I really don't want to be here. Parties just aren't for me,"

Taehyung smiled and pat his shoulder, "You'll be fine, and hey, I'll be with you the entire time. Now let's go,"

Hoseok sighed and got out of the car. He walked around to the drivers side and stood next to Taehyung, who was giving him a reassuring smile, "Let's go,"

They made their way to the front door, kicking empty cans and pushing past people who were already drunk. Hoseok was already regretting his decision to come.

They stopped at the front door. Hoseok looked up and took a deep breath, then took a step inside.
