I was off the next day and, of course like any other twenty year old, I decided to sleep in. It was rare I was off on a Saturday, but I was grateful of whatever day off I could get.
I was cuddling my pillow and wrapped in my warm blanket when the doorbell rang. A frown was placed on my lips and I popped open one eye. The clock on my nightstand read, 9:04 am. I let out a groan and rolled over in bed, covering my face with the pillow I was cuddling earlier. Who is up at nine in the morning? On a Saturday?
"Go away," I whined to myself, knowing the person at the door couldn't hear me when they rang the bell two more times, followed by a couple of knocks.
Obviously, no one is home so f*ucking leave.
"Ama, someone's at the door!" Wren yelled, rushing into my room. His hair was a mess on his head and his eyes screamed of annoyance. He had been woken up by the idiot at our door too.
I grabbed Wren and put my hand over his mouth. "Shh! If we stay quiet, they'll think no one is home and leave!"
Wren nodded and I let him go. "Who do you think it is?" he whispered.
"Someone who has no sense of time." I grumbled. The doorbell rang again, but this time my phone went off with it. I sighed and looked at Wren.
"Go brush your teeth and I'll meet you in the kitchen." Wren scurried out of my room with his tiny legs.
Rubbing my eyes and stretching a bit, I picked up my phone and looked at the caller I.D. I frowned when it flashed Unknown. I decided to pick it up; half hoping it was the idiot at my door. I wanted to give him a piece of my mind.
"Hello?" I greeted, sitting up and slipping on my slippers. I stood up and walked to the bathroom.
"Open your door." A familiar voice ordered. Turning on the lights in my bathroom, I looked at my mess of hair. It was all over the place and I knew it was going to take a shower to get the curls untangled from each other without pulling my hair out.
"No, I don't think so, Tyler." I said as I pulled at strands of my hair to pull them apart for one another. "I don't like been woken so early." Then I realized that I was talking to him on my phone. "How'd you get my number anyways?"
"It's not that early, the street is bustling with people already." I could feel him roll his eyes through the phone. "And your friend Julie gave it to me yesterday."
I'm going to kill Julie.
"I am not a morning person."
"Just open the damn door." He said and I could hear the frustration in his voice.
I pretended to think about it before I answered. "No, I'd rather not."
"Runaway," he growled. I hated that nickname.
"Nope,"
"Fine, I'll do it myself." I furrowed my brows in confusion. What's that supposed to mean? Next, I heard was the door opening and Wren greeting Tyler. My jaw dropped. That little...

"Let's hang out." Tyler said out of nowhere.
We sat in a nearby coffee shop downtown chatting and taking sips of our hot coffees. I looked up at Tyler like he was stupid. I was still mad at him for dragging me out of my house at nine in the morning. He was right when he said the streets were bustling with people already, but than again this was New York, the city that never sleeps.
"I thought you were going to prove to me that 'love existed', not hang out." I said putting air quotes around love existed.
"I've got three months." he scoffed, waving his hand around. "We've got time."
