Ten years later

"Come on get up," I said.

"But Mom this is so boring," Sonya sighed.

"Sonya Monet Andrews get up," I snapped.

"Yes mom," she said sitting up. Sage my other daughter walked in followed by Sage my sister-in-law. They smiled and laughed. Jewel walked in.

"He said he'll be here in a moment," she said.

"Almost everyone's here where's Sonya?"

"Right here mom," she said.

"No your cousin."

"Oh that's confusing."

"Go in the backyard before I snap your neck," I snapped.

"Ok," she said running outside.

"Woah hormones."

"Are they that bad," I whined.

"Yes but no need to worry you'll be good for the baby shower right," Jewel laughed.

"I hate you," I huffed.

"I love you too Diamond," she said running. She fell on the floor.

"I hope you broke ya ass," I laughed.

"Shut up Diamond," she called from down the hall. Sonya ran in and grabbed the wall. She sat on the floor.

"Looked like you ran a mile," I said.

"It does," she said checking her mirror.

"What took you so long the barbecue is about to start," I said.

"I have a baby ya know and I had to get ready and all," she said standing up.

"Where's Jordan?"

"With Cory," she said.

"Ok..."

"I'll meet you outside," she said. I nodded and walked outside. Everyone was talking, the kids played, and everything was set up. I took a deep breath and walked to one of the picnic tables where my mom and dad sat. They sat there talking. I smiled at them.

"You guys look so happy and young," I smiled.

"Sweetie we're only 49," my mom laughed.

"So your almost 50."

"Don't remind us," my dad chuckled. I laughed and smiled. My mom hugged me. "Look at you all grown up with a baby on the way."

"Mommmmm," I said embarrassed.

"Oh honey I'm just so proud of you," she smiled.

"Thanks mom," I said. She nodded and looked at my father. He smiled and kissed my forehead. I smiled embarrassed a little. He grabbed my mom's hand and they danced. I watched them. Sage sat by me smiling.

"Diamond you okay," she asked.

"I'm fine," I said.

"You've been looking at couple all day are you thinking you know who isn't going to show up?"

"He'll show up," I said.

"I know he will," she smiled and grabbed my hand. "Come dance with me and your daughters." I laughed and danced with them. They laughed with me.

"Here ya go," Edward smiled and gave me a plate. I smiled and ate. Sonya sat next to me.

"I thought you were sitting next to your friends," I asked.

"I am mom but I was wondering if I could see your phone for just a few minutes," she smiled.

"It's inside in the kitchen be careful, " I smiled.

"I will mom," she said. She walked away.

"Don't you find it confusing," Edward asked.

"No it's easy cause either grown up Sage and Sonya live with me."

"Good point," he nodded. I chuckled and ate. Shante and Danielle walked over to me.

"Hi auntie Diamond," they smiled.

"Hey girls," I smiled.

"Hey aunt Diamond," Mercedes, Braden, Neveah, Heaven, and Junior smiled.

"Hey guys," I replied.

"Here we got you a present from all your nieces and nephews," Mercedes handed me a gift. I opened the box inside was a family picture of everyone at some family a few years back. I got emotional and started crying tears of joy. I hugged them. They laughed, some groaned, and others sniffled.

"Thanks all of you," I said.

"Your welcome aunt Diamond," they smiled. I sat the picture down. Mercedes walked over to some boy. I watched them for a while. She blushed and looked down. He laughed and smiled. I walked over to them.

"I've been watching you two both of you need to do something step up I've been watching you two blush and smile for an hour," I said.

"Stalker," Mercedes joked.

"Make a move mostly you boy," I said.

"My name's David and yours is," he asked.

"Diamond," I said.

"Nice to meet you Diamond," he smiled.

"You too David now I'm watching you two don't mind me," I said.

"Ok bye auntie," Mercedes shooed me away. I walked back to the picnic table and sat down. Jewel sat there laughing with Trey. I looked at my phone. Everyone looked at the porch. I looked at the porch. The kids held 6 big poster boards. I read them.

"Will you marry me Diamond Andrews," I muttered. I walked up. Chris walked towards me and grabbed my hand. He bent on one knee and said,"Will you marry me Diamond Andrews, will you be Diamond Andrews-Davidson," he asked. I stood there for a moment.

"Diamond?" I blacked out into his arms before saying a word.

Four hours later I woke up in my bed. Everyone stood by the bed. "What happened?"

"You blacked out into Chris's arms right after he proposed," my mom said.

"Did I say anything?"

"Nothing."

"Oh wow."

"You should go back out there."

"Good idea," I smiled. I walked to the porch. Chris looked back at me. I smiled and walked over to him.

"Will you marry me Diamond," he asked. I stuttered but I couldn't get any words out I started crying and ran out the back to the front.
