We stopped walking when we heard rustling sounds at the painting, "Flowers of Jealousy". The sounds are starting to get a bit louder. A small flower bud is on the top of the painting. "Was this here before?" I ask.
No one answered and we all knew that something bad was gonna happen. The bud grew and the ground shaking is what startled me, "W-What's going on?" "I don't know. . ." answered Mary.
The rustling sounds got louder and the ground shook again. Vines are coming up from the ground. Everyone started to panic and shiver. "T-This is b-bad! Get away from the painting!" shouted Garry.
"Watch out, Ib!" yelled Mary. I was suddenly dragged behind and Garry dragged Clara away. The vines connected to the ceiling. Tha painting grew a flower, forming the shape. Separating me and Mary from Garry and Clara.
From across, we heard Clara shout to us and asked if one of us were hurt. We both said "No, we're fine." Garry also said, "That was scary. I'm glad everyone's fine." "Yes, it's fortunate." replied Clara.
I was about to tear down the vines when I noticed that I can't. I knocked on the vines, "Is this. . . .?"
"What's wrong, Ib?" asked Mary. I gave a frightful expression, "These vines. . . .are made of stone?!"
"What?!" yelled Garry, then he also did the same. It really is made of stone, these vines are too thick for anyone to go through and we don't have anything to break these vines. . . . What to do?!
Mary patted my back and said, "Hey, Ib, you have a key right? Maybe that key, opens the door over there?" as she pointed to the right door. "What?" I said. If this was the key, we can't leave them alone-- "Maybe we can find something to use on these vines!" exclaimed Mary. "She's right. Go ahead and find something." said Clara. Garry said that it was dangerous but if we don't do anything, we'll get stuck here. I agreed to Mary's suggestion. "All right, fine. But come back if you don't find anything." said Garry.
"Yes."
Mary and I headed to the right door and used the key.The door's unlocked. Went inside and we saw a bunch of boxes. Some are taped and some are opened. We check the open ones. In a box, we saw painting tools. Not much of use. Oh, there's something at the bottom of the box. Mary took it and asked, "Should we try this?" of course not! How can a palette knife cut through stone?! Anyway, "I doubt it."
"Yeah, I guess you're right. But I'll hold on to this. . . .you know, just in case. . ."
"Okay. Let's check over there."
We moved to the next open boxes. This is the last one. There are just sculpting materials here--Oh! There's a scalpel. "I'll hold on to this too." I said.
The lights are flickering again. "W-Wah?!" exclaimed Mary. The lights went out for a second then came back. "Phew. . .That sure scared me." said Mary. "Yeah, me too. Let's go back, we can't find anything here."
"Okay."
As we head to the exit, there's a headless statue blocking the door. "How did that get there?!" I exclaim.
"It's blocking the exit! Let's move it, Ib!" we went to the side of the statue and moved it.
No use. It's too freaking heavy I feel like my bones are gonna break. I can't get through. I can't even reach the doorknob. "Let's try to shout to them." I suggested. Mary nodded in reply.
--Garry's Point of View--
"........!"
Is it me? Or am I hearing things? They're taking too long I wonder if something happened to them. Clara's starting to get worried about Ib and Mary.
".....................!!!"
I'm hearing those again. What is it shouting? I coup the side of my ear to hear it better.
".......y..!!! ........r.....a!!!"
What? I still can't hear it. Maybe it's one of those things that creep me out.
--End of Garry's Point of View--
Ugh it's no use. Is this door soundproof? We don't have much of a choice now. We gotta find a way around. "Let's go, Mary. We have to find a way around to meet them. " I said. Mary agreed, we don't have much of a choice anyway. Went through the door across the room. Thank goodness it's not locked.
The lights here don't stop to flicker and it doesn't even go out. We saw a shadow walking past us as we pass the two windows. Creepy... We just ignored it and followed the way. There we saw a red rolling ball down the stairs. I don't know why but I think this is creepier than the shadow. When it reached the wall, SPLAT! Red paint flowed out of the ball and splattered a part on the wall.
Went upstairs and saw another painting, "Clown". There's a hole in the middle. . . .Ah, that must be its red nose. Anyway, went left and found a brown door. It's unlocked. A horizontal room. There's missing floor over there and there's a green rectangle shape above with eyes. There's a path across the missing floor. Again, the missing part is an eternal black. We should be careful.
"You alright, Mary?"
"I'm fine."
"Are you thinking about something?"
"Yeah, I've never been this far apart from my sister."
"I know how you feel."
"I wonder what they're doing? We sort of left them behind."
--Garry's Point of View--
What's taking them? Half an hour has passed already. I'm getting worried. I'll try to call them, "Ib! Mary!"
No response. Something must've happened. I knew I shouldn't have left them alone! Guess we have no other option but to examine that room again, as much as me and Clara hate to.
"We have to go back to that room and check things out." I said.
"What?!" it's normal for me to see that reaction of Clara though. I explained to her the reason and she finally agreed. We went back. As soon at we got there, Clara starts to hide behind me. Good for you you have a place to hide yourself. I looked at the painting again. "Red Eyes".
"This certainly is NOT 'cute' to me." I complained. "Yes, maybe those two have problems with their eyes." agreed Clara.
We searched the area. The bookshelf on the right side is movable--there's a large hole behind it.
"Let's go in." I said. Clara headed this way and I let her pass through first because she wanted to.
There's a door north-east of our position and five ropes hanging from above in the farther north-east. There's another message beside the door on purple, "There's no escape. There is no reason." of course there's a way out. This door is--oh wait, it's locked. Well, there's always a way to open this thing. Anyway, we'll try those ropes. "What happens when I pull this--?" said Clara. She pulled a rope on the right side. "Eeek!!" she yelled. A mannequin head fell down and shattered on the floor so suddenly. I'll try this rope next to the one she pulled.
Nothing happened. I just heard something move from above. That wasn't very useful. I should look around for more clues--"Ouch!" I exclaimed. That hurts. I tripped on something. Eh? It's a triangle dent on the floor. A clue! But there are no triangles around here, now what?
--Ib's Point of View--
What just happened? The rectangle thing with eyes just moved between the missing floor.
"Look, Ib! Now we can cross!" yelled Mary. But this thing has eyes. What if we step on them?
"Uh, is it okay to cross. . .?" the rectangle stared at me and closed its eyes.
"Guess so!"
I carefully crossed not to step on one of its eyes. Good. We're across it. What this box? Something's moving inside. . . . "Ib, let's not open that box." "Yeah."
There's a blue triangle there. What's this for? Hmm.... I looked down the missing floor. Turns out it's not pitch black. There's a violet room there. If I look closely. . . . . . .I SEE!! IT'S THEM! GARRY AND CLARA! I shouted to them, "GARRY!!! CLARA!!!" "What?! Did you find them?!" Mary also looked down and she saw them too. But I don't think they can hear us. We're too far up. They're looking at. . . . . .a triangle dent on the floor. Ah! The blue triangle! They need it! "Mary! Help me push this!"
"Roger that!"
We pushed the blue triangle to the missing floor and it fell. They should fit that on the dent while me and Mary should get going to meet up with them.
