Meanwhile, across the lake from the Jarvis family's new home rests Camp Crystal Lake, an abandoned summer camp that's believed to have a death curse laid upon it. The camp is completely run down and the cabins are barely held together. It's dark and foggy and headlights appear within the fog as a blue station wagon pulls up loudly.
"We're finally here!" Says Jared, a tall, handsome blonde haired boy wearing a blue polo shirt and beige khakis. "This place looks even worse than I thought it would." Jared jokes. A shorter boy named Randy, Jared's best friend, emerges from the station wagon. Randy is taller and more muscular but he has a feminine face.
"It's perfect! Were you expecting a mansion? Wrong place to find one of those, bud!" Randy says while pulling his bags from the car along with his girlfriend Patty, a short and slim brunette with red lipstick and tons of mascara on. "It's definitely a dump, you got that part right. It'll do though."
Patty grins at Randy and grabs her suitcase from the car. Two more teenagers emerge from the vehicle, Eric and Vanessa, pretty much attached at the hip. Eric, a shorter orange haired boy with freckles and Vanessa, a more frail girl with a large head of curly brown hair and prominent facial features.
They grab their bags and join the others to explore the abandoned camp. One more girl exited the vehicle and closed the door behind her. Angela, a more quiet and independent teenager with long and wavy brownish gold hair and a small nose. Not too small, but perfect. She grabbed her book bag and slowly followed behind the others.
"Angela, come on!" Vanessa yelled back. "I'm coming, hold your horses!" Angela snapped back. The six made their way through the camp to find a suitable cabin to relax in. After a few minutes of exploring, they decided to set up camp in a clearly vacant cabin.
"Okay guys, you must know about the legends of this campground here, right?" Randy said as he laid out a sleeping bag on the wooden floor. The other five also set up their beds. Eric and Vanessa laid down an air mattress to sleep on, Angela made a cozy bed on the floor a little further away from the others, Jared laid his sleeping bag down a little closer to Angela and a little further from the others and Patty cuddled in next to Randy.
"Oh, you mean Camp Blood?" Jared responded sarcastically. "Actually yes," Randy responded as he plopped down beside Patty. "some crazy shit happened here," he continued, "like a week ago? There's some property an hour or so away from the camp that's owned by some wealthy family. A while ago, the daughter and her friends came down for the weekend and they all got slaughtered. Some Jason guy I think.."
Eric grabber an apple from his bag and took a bite out of it. "Just because that was on the news doesn't mean that it's true, Randy boy. Are you also going to tell us that on Halloween, an escaped mental patient wearing a white mask comes to a suburban town and slaughters teens?" Randy rolled his eyes and brought his gaze to Patty.
"What about you, Pat? You believe me don't you? You must've heard something about it." Patty turned to the others nervously and then again looked at Randy. "I mean, yeah, I heard shit. Doesn't mean it was true. It's a little too random, don't you think? Why would this Jason guy just randomly kill these teens?"
"Actually, it's true. That guy, Jason, he went to this camp. He supposedly drowned here in the 50's," Angela added. "and his mother I think kept getting the camp shut down until some Christy guy bought the camp and tried to re-open it.." The group all set their eyes on Angela, shocked that she randomly knew all of this.
"Anyways, about three or four years ago, a few teenagers were murdered here...or so I've heard. It could've been Jason." Vanessa then spoke up. "Oh, yeah, dead boys don't just rise from the grave. Get real, Angela. It's a story! It's made up!" Eric shook his head, and turned to Vanessa. "You don't have to be so rude about it y'know. Unless you're...scared!" Eric then reached his hands out to Vanessa's torso and tickled her forcing her to laugh hysterically and make her body move as if she was having a seizure.
Jared moved a little bit closer to Angela. "I believe you. I think it's kinda cool how you know all of this. How did you find all of that out?" Angela looked to the floor and bit down on her lip almost drawing blood. "Oh, my friend told me."
"Okay, enough of this Jason shit.. It's spooky enough out here, don't you think? And much too quiet!" Eric said as he turned on the boom box and blasted some pop music. Angela then put her legs under the covers and laid her head down on her pillow, away from the group. Jared stared at her for a moment and then returned to socializing with the others.
"I don't think I'm drunk enough yet.. I'm going to need at least, 1....2....maybe 4 more beers!" Eric joked while counting his fingers. Vanessa grabbed his hand and kissed his fingers seductively. "If you're drunk, you won't be able to feel this.." Vanessa whispered to Eric as she slowly moved her vacant hand up his leg. "You're right, babe. One more beer and I think I'm going to bed!" Eric winked at Vanessa.
