Today, I got the news, that I would be able to be unhooked from my oxygen tank, for the first time since I was 5 years old. Now I can walk like a normal 17 year old.
As soon as I got the news, I ran upstairs up to Ryland's room, and I knocked on the door.
I just knocked and he opened the door, and he grabbed me, and pulled me into a very light hug. He took a step back and examined me for a minute.
"No oxygen tank! I don't need it anymore!"
He grabbed me once again into a tighter hug. He picked me off the ground in the process.
He was smiling, and told me he was happy for me.
Then I realized something.
I then, took a step back, and took my turn examining him.
"No crutches?" I said, grinning from ear to ear.
He repeated my question, as a statement, and invited me down to the cafeteria with him.
I accepted the invite, and we both skipped downstairs, happy as can be.
"Dannie!" I heard the receptionist yell across the room.
She asked me to call my parents and tell them the news.
I did, and they told me that they're going to stay in New York for a few days, to see me without the cords and the oxygen tank.
I galloped over to Ryland, and told him that my parents are coming up to see me.
He smiled, with a "congrats" mumble, and went on and on about his first impression.
