The Smell of Happiness

Me and Ryland brought Rachel to the Courtyard.
They just built it, right before Ryland asked me out, so Rachel hasn't seen it yet.
She was so excited to go outside of the hospital for the first time in several months, that she was smiling, so wide that you could fit a building in the middle of her lips.
She thought it was absolutely amazing.
She took and deep breath in through her little nose, and just smelled the flowers.
"This reminds me of my garden. My garden at home." Rachel stated, in a daydream.
She just closed to eyes, her arms open wide, almost as if she was ready for a hug.
Me and Ryland stood off to the side, and just smiled, and held hands, just watching her smile as if she was out little child.
We watched her, giggling, mesmerized by her happiness.
Ryland couldn't stop smiling. He was smiling continuously. It was contagious.
Rachel ran around the garden, so fast she kicked up dust. She would smell almost every flower.
She got a little bit of soil in her hands, and wiggled her fingers, watching the particles slide away from her palm.
She didn't stop smiling for about 3 hours later.
