Chapter8 sinking into the valley

Sinking into the valley.(Valentas P.O.V)

As I we got deeper I felt Angels anxiety rise he was about chest deep and attempted to swim but he couldn’t keep us above the water soon we were being pulled under almost like walking under water soon we sunk into a beautiful forest to say I was confused was a huge understatement.

The others soon landed behind me ,I’d never seen a more beautiful place filled with lush trees and fruit id only heard of in stories. There were these bright red giant berries hanging from fine lime green vines they looked delicious. I looked back to the boys but neither of them seemed half as surprised as I was by our surroundings.

“ey, Ross they edible?” I asked glancing over my shoulder.

“yeah everything is this is Mandi vallem the edible valley.” He smiled and gestured for me to go mad.

I smiled and stood on Angels back I picked all different types of fruit keeping some out but most went into my saddle bag. I bit into one of the red fruits id never tasted anything so magical the flavor exploded into my mouth I was hardly worried about the juice that was now dripping off my chin.

I wiped it off and continued to devour the fruit. I looked back and both Ross and Aaron let out a manly chuckle , then I noticed I somehow managed to get the sticky red liquid across my cheek I wiped it off and faced forward before they could notice my reddening cheeks. Unfortunately I was too late.

“aww did you see that I think she was blushing.” I heard Ross remark .

“typical child cant even eat without messing on herself.” After that sharp comment we fell into a horribly awkward silence. This beautiful place turned rather dull in that moment and I kind of felt like draining him not to satisfy the urge but more because he was making this rather unpleasant. As we stepped tiny grey rings circled angels feet I looked back to see Requests glowing from blue to green and Claras glowing gold this was so strange. This whole place was strange you couldn’t see far ahead and it blurred behind. Soon the sky got lower and lower and angel stopped it was a dead end as the sky touched the ground.

Ross just strolled past us so angel was quick to follow soon we were walking out of the cool rushing water. We got onto the river bank it suddenly dawned on me we were in the Viginti Tortousis lycan pack they were a pack of twenty lycan  that fight to the death to stay in the pack, they kill anything that steps one step into there territory .They were known to be mean and ruthless even Natalie doesn’t send troops in. it would only take about thirty minutes until they knew we were here.

“do you guys know were we are.”

“yes, do you think you’re the only one that knows the land?” Aaron retorted , his attitude was really starting to piss me off.

I spun Angel around and leaped towards him he did the same but didn’t charge at me he went for Angel. I he was faster than me and was on angels back with a knife on his neck ,shock ran through me I went to save him I could feel Angel panic and desperately try to drain but for some reason he couldn’t even taste the power let alone summon it.

I threw Aaron the most deadly glare id ever conjured grabbing my bow and strung an arrow swiftly aiming .

“Stop.” Ross’ booming voice shocking me so much I spun around accidently shooting an arrow into the ground.

“would it kill you to show some self control” he said, his distain clear in his voice. I looked at him almost pleadingly he just looked away disappointment the only emotion I could read off his flawless face.

I felt ashamed I don’t know why but I felt like I needed Ross’ approval it was a strange thought one I didn’t plan on putting  a lot of energy into. Should I apologize even though Aaron was the one being unreasonable yes I get it he was showing me how it felt to have your twins life threatened?

“I I’m sorry.” I looked over to Aaron and he just replied with a blank look almost saying and that changes things how?” after that I dropped it I wasn’t sure what else he could possibly want me to do another ten minutes passed in silence and we were all starting to get anxious they should have come by now. Id confirmed that we don’t have powers in this region I had no clue how we were going to make it out, the only way would be to go by undetected but lycans have superior senses to us and this pack have evolved themselves to become pure killing machines developed their skills to the point were their human side was almost nonexistent emotions and remorse overrun by instinct turning them into the ultimate predators.

The ground had been relatively clear until now we were getting close to a wall of trees which if I wasn’t so petrified about our emanating doom I would have thought was a stunning tropical forest. We walked cautiously on the small path between the lush bushes and then I heard a sound id been dreading the distinctive howl of an alpha or one of alpha blood.

I looked desperately at Ross and then to Aaron who looked almost as scared  as I was. Ross just kept walking until we came to some kind of arena were two shifted lycans were fighting one was drenched in blood and the others coat mangled and matted. With the pack silently staring waiting for one to prevail. I watched in horror glad the whole pack was watching the fighters but Ross had now stopped and we were now all standing dead still staring at the fight soon the bloody wolf grabbed the other ones neck tossing it aside and it laid limply not even breathing anymore soon the wolf shifted and the rest of them bowed their heads in a gesture of respect. Then a young blonde she wolf shifted and walked into the circle as two other wolves dragged the last contender out. Then she turned her head our way soon the whole pack was looking straight at us.

Im not sure what I was thinking but I shattered the bond between them and me and linked with a gorgeous man I assumed to be this packs leader as soon as I linked with him I felt the dominance and pure untainted power, soon I felt him trying to block me out but it was a useless effort me might be a mighty alpha but I’m the queen of mind games. He stared at me in utter disbelief and then started striding towards us soon my walls were breached which was something I hadn’t taken into consideration he wasn’t one man he was a pack they all added to his mental strength and I was soon being dominated so I let it flow completely dropping my walls ,then shattering our bond. He looked up his pack on his flank as he marched towards us ,Ross gave me a warning look and Aaron smirked.

“only  the suicidal trespass on our land” the make standing next to Lupus said earning a glare from the Rather irate alpha.

“We had no other option.” Aaron said in a rather earnest tone.

“I do not care what your reasons are Lumen, you should not be on our land. In fact the only reason your still alive is because of your gifted friend.” He used a powerful alpha tone whilst glancing towards me.

“We will be leaving now.” Ross stated rather bluntly.

“I’m not giving you that option.” Lupus stated in a very calm tone “if you want to leave the girl must fight my Beta if she wins ill escort you personally to your journeys end.
