Chapter 9 going,going Gone...

This statement earned some gasps from his pack and then hateful glares.

"for that to be fair he cannot shift" I stated trying to sound calm.

"you are in my territory!" his voice roared with power sending an involuntary shiver down my spine. "I make the rules!"

I gave Ross a pleading look which was returned with stone-cold indifference. I gulped nodding my head as I walked confidently to the ring. I sat down and suited up my armor glinting in the dull light. I stepped into the ring seeing the burly mad that I desperately hoped wasn't the beta but then again non of these wolves looked like an easy fight. In fact I'm pretty sure that I stand no chance against any of them but this wolf looked particularly menacing.

"Valenta" I smiled looking him straight in the eye.

"Minatio" He returned a smile but it was broken and scary. He followed me into the ring and shifted, his wolf was huge. Sporting a rough coat with a huge scar running down his torso only making him more petrifying.

I didn't even get a chance as he leaped towards me smashing me into the ground then tossing me up only to throw me with even more force back onto the rough sand, snapping at me as I held his head inches away from my face. I tried kicking him off but it was no use he was way heavier and I had no powers in this land. I had to be smart about this he overpowered me in every aspect. I lost my grip on his neck and his deadly jaws flew towards me and I guarded my face with my forearm shoving it into his mouth shoving him up a bit then switching arms and swinging onto his back ,keeping my arm in his mouth I sat up pulling his jaw back and effectively snapping his neck as he fell I slipped forward watching the life slowly draining from his eyes at that moment all I could think was what a waste. He was a strong wolf and had so much power and it just evaporated I felt utterly gutted. 

I stood up and starred a she wolf dead in the eyes, for some reason she was glaring at me, then I figured  she was his mate as she ran to him stroking his coat ,she was shoved off him and they dragged the dead body towards the others from earlier .she starred at me then shifted and rushed towards me as she was about to pounce Lupus jumped in front of me pinning her to the floor.

"Leara ,she won ,she is now protected by the pack." he snarled totally ignoring her clear pain."not that I don't enjoy a good fight." he said winking at me I really couldn't help send him a flirtatious smile and walk toward Ross and Aaron.

"Nicely done."Ross smiled

"Yeah to be honest I wasn't routing for you." Aaron stated.

"oh, well I'm so sorry to disappoint you but I'm still alive ,deal with it." I snapped at him.

One of the pack members were approaching us.

"Valenta, Lupus wants to see you ,now!" he sauntered off looking rather peeved. I looked over to the two men and began the short walk to the Alpha's house. two she wolves moved away from the door which I saw as an invitation in. As I entered I saw him sitting in an armchair not that I needed my eyes to feel his presence ,his aura was magical washing over me in waves of dominating power.

"Valenta, join me." he said pointing to the chair across from him.

We sat in silence for well over five minutes just absorbing each others presence, I was completely calm sitting in front of the most brutal lycan ever to lead this notorious pack. His aura was warm and the first ever to compete with mine for dominance.

"why did you call me here?"

"For the view." he stated, smoothly smiling. I looked at him, absolutely shocked." and to congratulate you on your victory." and that was it I was totally dumbfounded.

"I killed your Beta and you don't seem at all fazed."I stated staring at him searching for any kind of emotion.

"I think you would have been a greater loss."

"anyway I don't need to be congratulated it was such a waste." I mumbled to myself ,only noticing that I said it aloud when he gave me a questioning look.

He didn't press for details just plastered a sexy smirk to his face. I stood up to leave not knowing what else to do.

"did I dismiss you?" 

"aah sorry." I replied sitting down again. he looked like he was thinking something over and I saw a flick of purple in his aura and his eyes darkened slightly.

"may I be dismissed?" I asked silently hoping he'd say no and I'd have a reason to sit and stare at him a little longer.

"yes, you may leave." he stated nonchalantly. I got up and gilded past him exaggerating the sway of my hips ever so slightly, I glanced back seeing him staring and confirming that I got the reaction I wanted.

"what did he want?" Aaron asked sharply.

"nothing you need to know about." I sneered really stating to tire of his crap.

"ok, kids simmer down some of us were actually enjoying a relaxing night."

I stared at Aaron and then turned away to go and sit by Angel who was almost as devastated as I was about the power wastage that took place earlier on, sure he didn't like it if I drained people but its a waste if they were going to die anyway. We sat in a comfortable silence just soaking in each others company. I felt his pain and fear through the bond and remembered the fight earlier. I lay next to him resting my head on his shoulder. I drifted into a restful sleep only to be awakened by alpha lupus standing above me.

"what the hell?" I stated in shock.

"don't even act like your not happy to see me." he sent me a sexy half smile.

"totally" I said dismissively. He raised his one eyebrow.

"Ill make you a deal princess?" he stated giving me a questionable glance.

"aaha and what may this deal be?"

"We race, if I win you drop this dismissive attitude." he paused.

"and if I win?" I stated confidently.

"then you can keep playing hard to get." I scoffed as he winked at me.

"I think you're mistaking my general disinterest for playing hard to get." I sent him my own version of a sexy half smile.

"Don't fool yourself Valenta you aren't the only master of perception." my eyes widened slightly but I quickly hid my shock.

"Why did you call Aaron lumen?"

"Agree to my deal and ill tell you."

"Fine!" I wasn't actually worried about loosing Angel was fast.

"because that's what he is." he stated then turned around and walked away.

"what the hell." I whisper yelled. "you said you would tell me."

"once you win." he said sending me a sexy grin over his beautifully muscled shoulder.
