As Cillian lay in bed that night, he recalled the delightful evening that he and Neil had had.
It had started with him getting sorted into Gryffindor, with his new best friend, and then he had the best meal of his life. First was a giant plate of chicken, hot mashed potatoes, roasted walnuts, and a cranberry pudding, and a very large cup of pumpkin juice.
For dessert, he had three pieces of apple pie, and a rich double chocolate brownie. His cups of pumpkin juice kept refilling itself every time it emptied. Of course, he didn't have quite so much as Neil...He kept taking dish, after dish after dish of food, and he only stopped when the headmistress(Professor Robb Minerva Mcgonnalgol) flicked her wand, making all the food disappear, and telling them to go to bed.

He remembered the lines of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin and Ravenclaw students to get to their dormitories. Neil and Cillian had followed (yet another) girl with brownish-red curly hair, who turned out to be Neil Older sister, Rose Weasley. She was two years older than them, but she was the sweetest, kindest person you could meet your first day. Her eyes were dark green with a brown-like florescent. She had a soft voice. She led them to a painting with a very...erm...well, fat, lady in it, who was looking in a handheld mirror.

"'Firey Wings of Ash'," Rose said, confidently.
The fat lady simply ignored her and continued gazing into her mirror.
"'Firey Wings of Ash'." she said more imperative.
The fat woman in the painting simply rolled her eyes and kept gazing.
"FIREY. WINGS. OF. ASH." Rose yelled at the picture.

"But I'm TRYING to make myself look presentable! I am going on date, after all," the day lady said rather impatiently. "So you know how long it's been since I've gone on a real date? Never! Because I am constantly here, opening and closing for you creatures, and not even getting hardly a thanks! I do think I deserve that much, don't you?"

Rose's expression was straight and annoyed. "That's what the summer break if for! Now please, miss fat lady, open the painting so I can show my brother and his friend to their dorm!" She cried.

"Wait...is that...oh...OH!!! Miss Rose Weasely I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to be so rude to a Prefect! My apologies," the fat woman exclaimed, and she swung open, revealing an entrance you had to crawl through. They did so, and came to a large cozy room, much like that of a regular living room in your own house. There were banners of red and gold hung here and there, there were three sofas in front of a hot fire, and there were studying tables scattered throughout the room.

At the end of the wall was a staircase that split off in two directions from left to right. One for the girl dorms, and one for the boys. Rose walked them up the left(which was the boys) and led them to a door that said "First Years". When they stepped inside, their trunks were already waiting for them. Neil had a cage on top of his with a large barn owl, who had a red streak down the right of his face.

"SOARIN!" Neil exclaimed as he ran towards the bird.
"That's what he named his owl," Rose said. "He got the name from one of the few books he's read."
Cillian watched as Neil cuddled the owl, who apparently liked the feeling. The bird pecked his face, affectionately.

Cillian awakened from his recollection of the evening and immediately fell into a deep sleep.

A The next morning he awoke with a start. Mathew's pet road found itself on Cillian's face. Cillian jumped out of bed attempting to take the creature off his face. Mathew woke up and ran to retrieve his pet from Cillian. Then Neil woke up. Once the whole thing was over, they decided to go down to breakfast. Neil found his sister, Rose, and she showed them down to the Great Hall.

Since all the food was gone(well, at least from last night...), the Hall looked empty. the teachers weren't in their seats because they were preparing for classes; most of the students had not even awakened yet, and they banners with the house symbols on them had disappeared from their places(suspended in air). after the three had gotten their breakfast, Cillian spotted the Weasley girl. Neil must have seen him staring, because he immediately said, "that's Pheonix, mate. my cousin. best keep out of her way, she can be a real nasty one."
